Lord Krishna is one of the most popular and worshipped deities of the

Hindu religion. Krishna represents strength, beauty, knowledge and


opulence. Shri Krishna is the very embodiment of love and divine ecstasy
that destroys all pain and offense. Shri Krishna Mantra forms the part of
prayers offered to the lord. Lord Krishna Mantra / Mantras for Krishna are
given below:

Sans Pad Karmopanishadaaegarayanati Yam Samga I

Meaning: Lord Krishna is the one, whom the creator Brahma, Varuna,
Indra, Rudra and Maruts admire with divine hymns. Krishna is praised by
the singers of Sama all through the Vedas and Upanishads. Krishna is
observed by the ascetics (Yogis) with their minds engrossed in the divine
through perfection in meditation. The limit of Krishna is not even
recognized by the Gods (Devas) and Demons (Asuras). We bow to the
divine Lord Krishna.

Meaning: Krishna's art is immortal and this is just one thing to be known.
Lord Krishna is great and his art is the supreme refuge of this universe.
The art of the Supreme is the eternal protector of the morality and
dharma. We bow to the art of Lord Krishna, the Ancient Purusha.

Here is how to perform a simple puja dedicated to Lord Krishna.

Select a calm and quite place.


Clean the place and then take a bath.
Place a photograph or idol or picture of Lord Krishna also of Lord

Ganesha.
Keep a lamp ready. Place some flowers and fruits or sweets ready in a
plate.
Pray to Ganesha.
Meditate for a few minutes to clear the mind of unwanted thoughts.
Now light the lamp.
Meditate or pray to Lord Krishna.
Offer flowers Tulsi leaves is the best offering made to Krishna. You can
light incense or agarbathis. If needed you can ring the bell, while offering
flowers.
Chant the shloka Om Namo Vasudevaya Namah.
Now offer fruits or any sweet or usual food prepared for the deity. You
can sprinkle some water after making the offering.
You can meditate for a few minutes or read some shlokas or prayers
dedicated to Krishna.
After the Krishna Puja remove the fruits and share it as prasad with
others.

After the puja, find some time to read the Bhagavad Gita and
contemplate. You will find ideas and thoughts rushing in, which will help
you in finding new meaning and direction in your life. Other spiritual
books that can be read include Uddhava Gita and Srimad Bhagavad
Purana.

Shri Krishna taught us to rise above rituals and to perform action. The
best offering to Shri Krishna is to perform ones duty by realizing the
Brahman within.
