(a) WORKING HOURS


Monday to Friday. Resumption time 7:30am.
Closing 6pm daily
Saturday: 7:00am to 2:30pm or 1pm to 7pm
If shifting schedule is implemented, your working hours will be
Monday to Saturday 7:00am to 4:00pm or 12pm to 8:00pm respectively.

(b) WORKING SPECIFICATION (general)


1. CLERICAL DUTIES: These includes:- Computer typesetting, lamination,
spiral binding, faxing/ telephone service, cyber café services, official
documentation. etc.
2. TEACHING: It is our custom and mandatory for all staff member serving with
us in this organization to get involve in training and retraining which is the
foundation for development of a strong and vibrant human capital and a
source of lifting up personnel morale. You must be prepared to handle such
assignment. (Teaching in primary school, secondary school, computer training
section etc.)
3. PHOTOGRAPHY/PRINTING: Studio attendance, sales and recording of
photographic materials, stationeries and involvement in printing and
documentation. (Note that the photographic and video may involve the
fieldwork.)
4. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT: You will be involved in reading, writing,
organizing and publishing of books. Sometimes it may take you spending your
night doing research in the café or office when need arises)
5. ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY: Safety in the center demands that all electrical
appliances be switched off at the close of work each day, the generating set
has to be cared for, class rooms and offices need to be kept clean at all time.

NOTE:
1. Your services might be on rotational basis; while are on your duty post, you
could be re-assigned or deployed to any other section/unit when need arises.
2. Your services with us within 30 or 31 days of a month will be appraised by
your satisfactory performance; beside, no notice will be given before
terminating job continuity if you are found wanting.

(c) ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER:


On acceptance of this offer, you are obliged to abide by the rules and
regulations and contractual terms aforementioned. It is our policy that any
referee quoted in your letter could be asked to confirm to us in writing his/her
knowledge about your social status.

(d) DRESSING CODE:


All members of staff are expected to dress moderately. No indecent dressing
(e.g. a pair of trouser, open back, open front, sleeveless, neck-less, open
navel, mini-skirt etc.) is not allowed among the FEMALE PERSONNEL within
the official hours. The MALE staff are also expected to dress corporately either
with a complete English wears, or with native attire. No staff is expected to
come to work with bathroom slippers. The female staff is not expected to
come to the office with painted face or lipsticks.

(e) PUNCTUALLY:
We do not compromise on the issue of punctuality because it is the basic
growth and sustenance of the establishment. You are expected to participate
in the morning devotion everyday. Accordingly, lateness to work attracts
WARNNING first, then dismissal at the end. If the above punishment is waved,
you should be expecting a reduction of N150.00 per hour of lateness from
your total income.

(f) QUALITY OF SERVICE:


Effort should be made to ensure that services rendered to our student/clients
customers are qualitative and satisfactory. Thus in the typesetting unit before
any job is accepted from the client/customers, ask for full detail and
description as regards how he/she want the job to be done, because all
spoiled jobs will be paid for by the person that did the job or the customer will
be made to pay for it, if the mistake came from him or her. Incase of the studio
services, care must be taken in snapping any picture and must be based on
the customers’ prescription/need. Teaching in either primary, secondary or
tertiary institutions should be done best on the school authority’s directive(s)

(g) SECRET JOBS:


It is an offence for you to use company equipment, time and facilities without
remitting the exact money to the company as per the job done. Against this
background, any SECRET JOB will attract double amount the original cost
which you must pay if such is discovered.
(h) INDICIPLINE/MISCONDUCT:
Every act of insubordination, stubbornness, unruly character exhibited against
superior officer by the subordinate will attract suspension without pay at the
period concern or outright termination of appointment when such misconduct
is seen as constituting a breach of peace and harmony in the organization.

(i) DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT:


Any damage to equipment/software through staff carelessness to observe the
necessary rules regarding the use of such machine/equipment, such staff will
be made to bear the cost of repairs or replacement. So proper care must be
taken with the use of equipment.

(j) PROBATION:
Your appointment will be on probation for the period of one year for which may
be confirmed subject to your satisfactory performance. No notice will be
require if you are found wanting in the schedule of your duties.

(h) TERMINATION:
Two-months notice is required from you or one-month salary in lieu of notice.

SPECIFIC DUTIES OF A CASHIER

Receive and disburse money in establishments other than financial institutions.


Following are the tasks required for a cashier.

Tasks

• Answer customers'/students’/visitors’ questions, and provide information on


procedures or policies.
• Bag, box, wrap, or gift-wrap merchandise, and prepare packages for
shipment.
• Compute and record totals of transactions in all the sections of the
organisation.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that
amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
• Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills
using calculators, computers, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
• Greet customers entering establishments.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers/students.
• Issue trading stamps.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas/office.
• Monitor checkout stations to ensure that they have adequate cash available
and that they are staffed appropriately.
• Offer customers carry-out service at the completion of transactions.
• Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
• Receive payment by cash, cheques, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Request information or assistance using paging systems.
• Resolve customer/students complaints.
• Sort, count, and wrap currency and coins.

COMPUTER INSTRUCTOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Design, facilitate, and teach the computer instructions/components from the
books available.
2. Prepare and execute lesson plans, assigning tasks, and evaluating student
work and progress.
3. Develop course syllabus, assess, supervise, and motivate all students.
4. Have basic computer knowledge of software, MS Office, and assist program
students with program presentation either in power point or qbasic.
5. Promote safe, effective, and ethical learning environment.
6. Use professional discretion and judgment in managing students in classroom
setting.
7. Other job-related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


• You must develop rapport with students in the classroom setting.
• Effective oral and written communication skills is required from the instructor.
• Maintain professional demeanour and ethics at all times.
• Experience working with pre-college programs and secondary-level student
preferred.
• Experience working in computer labs and with assisting other in the DTP
section with computer usage in various capacity.
