The World Cup of 2014 will be the most watched sporting event in the world. Join in
the World Cup discussions and activities and share your love of the beautiful game!

Group Stage Results Predictor Competition


If the World Cup is making you feel competitive, enter this unique Global
Classroom competition. All you have to do is predict the results of the Group Stage of
the World Cup, earning a point for every prediction you get right.
The students with the most points will win a prize for their school.

Developed by Alan Wilkinson, Principal of World Class Learning Academy, New York,
exclusively for Nord Anglia Education schools ragtrade provides a great opportunity for
students to engage in some creative and enterprising activities.
The game involves six challenges about different aspects of the fashion industry:
Clothing design; Marketing; Advertising; Manufacture; Blog; Models
Teams of students will be required to complete all six challenges and use their work to pitch
for business. Each Nord Anglia Education school that takes part will select their winning
team. That teams portfolio will be submitted to the central ragtrade judging panel. The panel
will include Alan Wilkinson, fashion students at New York University and successful
entrepreneurs. The winning team from each school will have their work exhibited in The
Global Classroom and will win a prize.

Based on the Big Idea of the environment, student teams work on projects designed to use
the technology from their daily lives to solve real-world problems.
Challenge Based Learning, a concept developed by Apple, creates a call to action for
students to develop a specific solution to a problem they identify.
This years Big Idea has been inspired by Global Classrooms collaboration with WWF for
Earth Hour.

This space has been designed to bring together all the chess clubs across our family of
schools to learn about chess, learn about each other and learn to get better at this ancient
