The Roys newsletter

Dear praying friends,

Please let us introduce the Stiglich Family. David and Carolanne are the blessed
parents of James (2 years old ) and Joshua
(7 months). Its a joy and an honor to see
the Stiglich make progress and grow in
grace since their arrival with us in 2010.
Its faithfully and step by step that they
established strong biblical principles for
their life, couple and family, and that they
are increasingly more involved in the

The Stiglich family

churchs ministries. They sing in the

choir, David fills in the pulpit for me on
Wednesdays when Im not there, and he
leads, along with his wife Carolanne, our
youth ministries on Sunday nights. The
Stiglich are truly a great asset for our
ministry, and we give God the glory for
his grace towards them that is enabling
them to be what they are among us!
The Stiglich are not the only family that
is faithful and growing in grace. We
have other pillar families, as well as
strong single people, who are sharing the
load here. Our intention is to introduce
them to you in our next prayer letters in
order for you to love them and pray for
them more knowingly.
Now on a much sadder note, three men
and a woman that were coming to our
church have decided to stop attending.
Unfortunately, its for going to churches
that are not faithful to the whole counsel
of God: For the time will come when
they will not endure sound doctrine; but
after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching
ears. (2 Ti. 4:3). The saddest part is that
one of them, Gatan, was getting increasingly more involved in church, and he

was faithful to all church regular and

special meetings. With his departure we
have lost a soul winning partner, because
I was going every Tuesday door knocking with him. I have to admit that the
loss of this man is a hard hit on my pastors heart because I invested a lot in him,
and most of all because I did not expect
such a change on his part. But, knowing
that such departures are part of a
churchs life, and leaning on the One
who said I will build my church. He is
my courage and my mighty stronghold!
Please pray that these three man and this
woman will consider their ways and
come back to the Lord in repentance.
We strive to be a church that stays on the
solid foundation of the Word, and this is part
of the price to pay. Many people that are
coming are not staying because we do not
offer things that are pleasing to the flesh, but
we try instead to help people walk in the
Spirit, which involves humility (and humiliation), but that obviously does not please
everyone (1 Co. 2 :13 to 3:3). But the flip
side of it is that those that are staying mean
business in their walk in holiness.
Your servants, the Roy family

Missions Corner
We can truly say that we followed the model of Acts 1:8 these last two months in our endeavour to reach the
lost for Christ. As a matter of fact, we reached our Jerusalem (our city) with our Gospel breakfast. The
breakfast was not what we expected since many of the people we invited were either sick or simply followed
the distractions Satan put on their paths. Our Judaea (province) and our Samaria (neighbouring province) were reached through the 7 missionary families we support there (4 in Qubec and 3 in Ontario).
In fact, we also reached our Samaria by doing a missions trip with a BIMI CLAIM (Christian Layman
Assisting International Missionaries) team to Kenora, Ontario. Its following my son Benjamins initiative
that we went there. Its him who paid his part of the trip with the money he earned this summer by picking
strawberries and mowing laws. He prayed for God to lead him regarding
the way He would have him spend this money, and its after reading Phil
and Susan Smith prayer letter that he came to me asking: Dad, do you think
it would be possible for us to do the Kenora trip? I told him Id pray
about it, and the rest is history. On the picture Im passing the electrical
wires and Benjamin is helping putting the shingles on the roof.
Finally, our missions month in October allowed us to renew the bonds
with missionaries we support in Madagascar, and also to reach the uttermost parts of the earth by taking on for support a pastor from Malawi.
