Where does our righteousness
come from?
Does our righteousness come from following and
keeping the torah? OR.
Does our righteousness come from faith in Yeshua? Does our righteousness come from faith in Yeshua?

Abrahams Righteousness
Read Genesis 15:1-8
And behold, the word of Yahweh came to him, saying,
This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come
from your own body shall be your heir. Then He from your own body shall be your heir. Then He
brought him outside and said, Look now toward
heaven, and count the stars fi you are able to number
them. And He said to him, So shall your descendants
be. Abraham believed Elohim, and it was
reckoned to him for righteousness. Gen. 15:4-6

Righteousness by FAITH

To Believe: to have faithWhat
does it mean?
Abraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to
him for righteousness. Gen. 15:6
Believed: H539 'aman (aw-man') v. Believed: H539 'aman (aw-man') v.

3. figuratively to render (or be) firm or faithful, to trust
or believe, to be permanent or quiet

The Torah is our trainer to lead us to Messiah Yeshua
The torah itself does not make us righteous
Yahweh gave the covenant promise to Abraham
through a promise through a promise
Abraham believed in/trusted in and had faith for the
promise to come to pass
We are to put on Messiah Yeshua by FAITH, and then
we can walk the halakah walk of Torah
What is the Weightier Matter in
this?
He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does Yahweh require of you

And to walk humbly with your Elohim? Micah 6:8
Righteous: what does it mean?
Righteous is H6666 tsdaqah (tsed-aw-kaw') n-f.
1. rightness (abstractly), subjectively (rectitude),
objectively (justice), morally (virtue) or
figuratively (prosperity) figuratively (prosperity)

What does it mean? How do we
walk this out?
The Torah and our walk:
Thy word is a lamp unto my FEET and a LIGHT unto

Our own righteousness is like
filthy rags

wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and nakedI counsel

By faith, we put on the robe of
Yeshua, and then the torah slippers!
Putting off the old man, putting on
the new man.
Put off, concerning your former conduct, the old
man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful
lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and
that you put on the new man which was created that you put on the new man which was created
according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

To Put on: What does it mean?
Put on: G1746 enduo (en-doo'-o) v.
1. to invest with clothing
{literally or figuratively}

By faith, we put on the robe of
Yeshua, and then the torah slippers!

the bond of perfection.

Wrapping it up.
Where does our righteousness come from? Does our
righteousness come from following and keeping the torah?
Or, does our righteousness come from faith in Yeshua?
Abrahams righteousness came from his BELIEF in the Abrahams righteousness came from his BELIEF in the
promise of Yahweh that he would be given a son, a seed,
and a land.
His righteousness was based on his FAITH, that He
TRUSTED Yahweh at his word, trusted him to fulfill His
promise; he believed that Yahweh would do what he said he
would do.
Wrapping it up.
The Torah is our trainer to lead us to messiah Yeshua.
The Torah by itself does not make us righteous.
Yahweh made a covenant with Abraham through a
promise. promise.
Abraham believed in/trusted in and had faith for the
promise to come to pass.
We are to put on Messiah Yeshua by faith, and then
we can walk the halakah walk of keeping Torah.
