1.Eachteammustsubmitasoftcopyofallthematerialitintendstouse
duringitspresentationbetweent60minutesandt45minutes.[Thetimeslotbetweent60minutes

toasSubmissionTimeSlot]
Onlythesubmittedcopycanbeusedduringthepresentation.
2.SpecificallyforCaseStudy,thehardcopyofthereportmustalsobesubmittedintheSubmission
TimeSlot.
3.[t45tot30,10%]ofthetotalmarksobtainedwillbedeductedincaseoflatesubmission.
Thiscannotbeoverruledbythejudge(s).
4.Laptopcomputers/centralprocessingunitsthatateamintendstouseduringitspresentationmustalso
besubmittedduringtheSubmissionTimeSlot.

Maximumtimelimitis20minutes.Teamsfailingtocomplywiththe
presentationtimelimitsasspecifiedwillbepenalizedaccordingto

3.ReleaseofProblemStatementRulesSet
Therulesareasfollows:
1.TheProblemStatement(hardcopy)shouldbeenclosedandsealedwith
thejudgessignatureatthetimeofrelease.
2.OnerepresentativefromeachhallshouldaccompanytheGeneralSecretary,Technologyofthe
Gymkhanatoaccepttheproblemstatementfromthejudge.Everyhallmustbeintimatedaboutthetime
andvenueofthecollectionoftheproblemstatementatleast24hoursinadvance,byoneoftheGeneral
Secretaries(Technology)oftheGymkhana.
3.Thereleaseoftheproblemstatementpriortothecommencementofthe
eventmustbemadeinpresenceofrepresentativesofeachparticipating
hall.Thetimeandvenueofreleaseofproblemstatementmustbeintimatedtoeachhallatleast48hours
inadvance.
4.SpecificRules
1.Maximumof10participantsperhallareallowedandmaximumoffourofthemarefreetospeakat
thetimeofpresentation.
2.Anygivenquantifiablespecificationintheproblemstatement,ifexceededwillresultinthefollowing
penalty:ifexceededbyupto10%10%ofthemarksobtainedbytheteaminthatsectionisdeducted
ifexceededbyupto20%20%ofthemarksobtainedbytheteaminthatsectionisdeductedif
exceededbymorethan20%teamisawardednomarksinthatsection.
3.Thecriteriaforevaluationwillberevealedbythejudge(s)alongwiththeproblemstatement.
4.Theotherrulespertainingtotheeventwillbequestionspecificandwillbedecidedbythejudge(s).
5.Problemstatementshouldbereleasedatleast7daysbeforethedayofabstractsubmission.
6.Theevaluationbyjudge(s)willbeonthebasisof

7.Theweightagesoftheparameterswilldecidedbythejudge.
8.TheSubmittedReportswillbeenclosedandsealedwithsignaturesofonerepresentativefromeach
hallontheseal,andthesealedenvelopewillbehandedovertothejudge(s)priortothecommencement
oftheevent.Incaseofanexternaljudge,thereportsaretobesubmittedinsoftcopyandmailedtothe
judgefromGymkhana.Thesentfileswillbedeleted.Thebackupfiles(passwordprotected)aresavedin
thegymkhanacomputer.
[Abstractwillbesubmitted24hrsbeforethepresentation.IIMCalprofstobecontactedJudgewill
mentionhowtoquantifycharts&diagrams]
9.Thejudge(s),afterevaluatingtheSubmittedReportswilldeclarethecompiledresults(basedonboth,
thePresentationandtheSubmittedReport)inthepresenceofrepresentativesofallparticipatinghalls.
SimultaneouslytheSubmittedReportsmustbehandedovertorepresentativesoftherespectivehalls,
directlybythejudge(s).
10.TeamswillnotmentionthenamesoftheirHallsofResidenceonthereport.Identitiesofindividual
participantsshall,however,notbedisclosedinanywayonthereport.Ifdetected,thehallsteamshall
bedisqualified.
11.Thegapbetweentheabstractsubmissionandthepresentationwillbedecided
bythejudge.
12.Incasethepresentationrounddoesnthappentooccur,theteamswillbejudgedaccordingtotheir
writtenreportssubmitted.Thenthejudgeisrequiredtoreturntheevaluatedcopieswithcomments.
