EDUZAP - Outline

The main buzz going around Danaher is to create an Information company through Innovation
and Technology. As the 3D growth model suggests (Modular hardware, Modular software, Ubiquitous
Mobile Braodband), the android market of the mobile technology must be disruptively used to increase
our expansion and revenue.
Eduzap, an android application targets the most populated community who uses Test and
Measurement solutions for various purposes - the EDUCATION sector. Tektronix always plays a key role
in Education sector. Through the development of this application, the reach and impact of Tektronix in
this sector will grow manifold. Eduzap is a QUIZ based android application which enables the user to
avail quizzes which are free of cost on the Test and Measurement industry. Quizzes are categorized
based on their difficulty into various levels. Each quiz level will have a basic description on the topics
covered in the particular quiz set and also links to sites which will have information relevant to the quiz
set. The succession of each course will yield the user a certified image which can be shared in
networking sites and also can be downloaded. The certificate image will also have unique encryption
technique which will avoid the end user to edit the same, which makes the end certificate a very
genuine one. Also, to ensure that a user tries out the quiz only once, the application can have the
feature of login credentials for each user, which will avoid the usage of quiz certification being
duplicated by the user.
As a future development, the application can also have the features of a user defined quiz set
which after a review can be uploaded into the application with the user's name. Also, a forum where
users can start a thread about the T&M industry can be included. Further enhancement will be including
downloadable multimedia content on the basics of T&M which will be helpful to expand the knowledge.
Tektronix will use an indirect way of advertising through the above application. The certification
provided at the end of each quiz will bear the title and logo of Tektronix. The application will also
contain a footnote which will focus on the different product portfolios of Tektronix. When the footnotes
are clicked, it will route the user to Tektronix website which will improve the traffic rate and hits of
website. Also, whenever the application is opened, it pops up a video about Tektronix.
With respect to the economic impact the application will create, the certifications provided for
the medium and advanced level of quizzes will have a nominal charge for downloading. Also, the feature
of user defined quiz sets will have a nominal pricing. Reaching masses of people will require extensive
use of advertising methods which will cost a good fortune to the organization. Through this application,
the advertisement and reach out costs doesn't even cost a penny. This will also expand our market in
the Education sector. The brand of Tektronix will get registered on the minds of people which will aid in
fetching future orders.
