Summary of Events and Information

for the 1ove at 1115 hrs,
o Gp. The A/CO, J.D. rortn, outlined the known enem,y strength and dipua-
1t1ona. The move was to be by TCV in the order of maroh, B, BHQ, A, D, and C Coya.
On arrt val at new area patrols were to oe sent out imr:ediately. Sqllipment was to
be wom and weapuns handy during the move.
The A/Brigadier, Lt.-col .B.t.4. Yis1ted the unit for a brief pe1\-
iod during the morning.
Unit embussed and moved off. ,
Lunch halt. On orders from Bde. H.Q., time of moving off was delayed, and the
Bn. was put on 15 minute::: notice to moYe.
Embussed. Due to the road being block0d ahead of us by transport of the 78
we finally, after several short moves and long halts, had to moye off the road
for the nights troops bedded down by 2100 hrs. A/CO, rv,ajor J .lJ. For1n, attended
a conference at Bde., and upon h1 s retum, Coy Comdra wero irdormed to ha'9'e
their trocps ready to move off again at 0045 hrs. on the :tol].ow1ng moming.,

The CO of a tank unit arrived at BnHQ for a conference with MaJor J.D.
at which 1t developed that in future actions bn. wouli be supported teak,
a welcome adell tion to our supporting arms. Dry rations were issued for a two
day period.
Coy reported that enemy mortars were oonoentrating on their poa1t1ona and
that parties of the' enemy were sedn moYlng towards tham but dispersed wbGn 4.2
