WHY THEATRE FOR B-SCHOOL? "Most of our students who come in have been taught in a very, very non-artistic way as they've come up through the business world, a very, very linear way," says Mark Powell, an associate fellow at the University of Oxford's Sad Business School. He has used Shakespeare's plays to press senior executives in his leadership classes to think about their work differently.
At Cornell Universitys theatre is conducted through CITE programs. The objective of the program is to create safety around highly charged workplace issues, facilitating honest dialogue, self-awareness and organizational learning on four levels: personal, interpersonal, group and institutional/community.
At MITs Leadership Centre, an innovative course has been designed to practice leadership under the theme Leadership as Acting. It has leveraged the centres focus on Learning by doing

One senior executive from an Indian corporate shares that to get people to become better leaders, better managers, you have to find ways of connecting to them personally and theatres is a platform that helps to experiment

Please note: The limit on the number of participants allowed to attend the workshop is 30 Each participant registered will have to pay Rs.500 as a refundable deposit which shall be refunded under following condition: PGP1 students attend all the 5 sessions PGP2s will be relaxed from this rule only on the condition of having a class during that slot. (This must be informed in advance, PGP 2s must attend min 3/5 session) The first 30 students registered will have to pay the amount by 28th july 2014 to confirm their participation.
