from our CHURCHES - Nov . 2009
ALLANSVILLE –Enjoyed Homecoming on Nov. 1st with Special
Music by New Found Four. Revival Speakers on Nov.2-4 brought
great messages. Children’s Christmas Program and Christmas
Play on Dec. 20th. Adult Choir Christmas Cantata on Dec. 23rd.
BEECH GROVE –Christmas Dinner Dec. 13th. Carol sing at
nursing home Dec. 23rd.
CALVARY - Had our Thanksgiving Dinner. Had a great time, we
served 12 families with baskets. 168 Shoeboxes collected for
Operation Christmas Child. Our country Store will open Dec. 10 at
the nursing home, the Christmas program will be Dec. 20.
CENTRAL - Children’s Choir presented “Attitude for Gratitude”.
We collected 484 shoe boxes for the Samaritan's Purse Operation
Shoe Box Ministry. Micah & Audrey McElween shared about
their ministry, Vapor Sports Ministry. Central hosted a
Community Communion Service.
CLAY CITY–We sent 26 shoe boxes to Samaritans Purse.
Christmas baskets are being made up.
CORINTH –Thurs. Dec. 24th, Silent Christmas Eve Communion
Service. Thurs. Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve Celebration, 10 pm-
12:30 am

and Homebound is well underway.
COW CREEK –Delivered Thanksgiving Baskets to the needy.
Christmas Cantata for Sunday Morning Service. Plan to take Food
Baskets & Presents to Children for Christmas.
EMMANUEL-We Prayer Walked our Church Neighborhood on a
cold Sat. Morning, while our Youth walked a total of 159 turns
around the Church block for their Food Drive. WMU ladies served
a hot-chili/soup lunch to all of us. Thanks to everybody pitching in
with their time, talents and donations. We were able to deliver a
truck load of food to Community Service the day before
Thanksgiving.
EPHESUS– Annual Christmas Tree service Dec. 20th @6 pm.
Christmas Dinner at Cedar Village Dec. 22 @ 6:30 pm. Christmas
Eve Service Dec. 23 @ 7pm Deacon election Dec 27th. New
Year’s Eve party Dec. 31 from7pm—midnight. Bro. Todd to teach
a New Testament class for University of the Cumberlands on
Thursday nights from 6:00– 8:45 pm from Feb. 4-May 20th here
in Winchester( $125 for 3 College Credits hrs. or audit for free).
Ephesus is excited to host Ex. BD Mtg. Jan 11th 7 pm.
FAITH-Lottie Moon penny drive was a success, the kids met their
goal. Christmas Dinner was great. Planning for a New Year.
FRIENDSHIP– Homecoming on Nov 1, Special Music in
afternoon by singing group “Revival”. Had a Prayer Walk &
Brotherhood breakfast. Work to begin on picnic pavilion– still
doing paperwork & plans for new Fellowship Hall. Will be
starting a regular visitation plan.
HERITAGE –Special Family-Friends Recognition Day Nov.29.
Finally!! A Youth Minister, we welcomed Corey and Jenny Fetzer
to our Fellowship. Christmas Fellowship Dec. 6, Children’s
Christmas Musical-Dec. 13th, Adults Christmas Musical- Dec.
20th, Discipleship classes –Feb. & March. March 7th-Special
Musical Group “Son’s of the Farther”. May– Revival-Don Mathis
Evangelist.
HOWARDS MILL-Church filled 27 boxes for the “Shoe box
Ministry”. Third and Fourth grade class prepared “Dinner and
Movie bags” which were distributed by the Church to families in
need. This is an on going Ministry. Our Thanksgiving, Christmas
Dinner was held Dec. 6 after Sunday Worship.
IRVINE FIRST– Nov. 22nd-Dessert Sunday-All kinds of good
Deserts-(Make a Donation). You pick up a dessert and take it
home, .to benefit the Mitch Baber & JL Thomas Scholarship Fund.
This was a sellout, people were waiting at the front door for the
desserts. Dec. 4th Carol Sing at Reid Village for everyone (come
make a joyful noise unto the Lord). Dec 6th First Baptist Church
Holiday Meal-We had a wonderful meal-we’ve got really good
cooks! Dec. 13th -Sun. Evening Service-Lord’s Supper. Dec 20th-
Worship Hour, we will have a Cantata. Dec. 23rd- Wed. at 6 pm
our Youth will have a Happy Birthday Jesus Party. Dec. 31st-
Watch night & Youth lock-in starting at 9 pm.
JEFFERSONVILLE-Our Thanksgiving Day meal for the
community was prepared by our youth, and 126 meals were
delivered to people in need of a meal. The Adult SS class collected
toys for the Freeda Harris Center. We are collecting “cold
weather” clothing for the needy. New hymnals were purchased for
the sanctuary.
MACEDONIA-Purchased an additional van. Deacons/
yokefellows delivered 21 Thanksgiving baskets. Had a great Bible
conference on Nov. 14th & 15th. Our Choir will present a
Christmas cantata entitled, “A Night to Remember” on Dec. 20th
during the AM service. Our children will present a Christmas play
entitled, “The Night that Started it All” during the PM worship
service on the 20th.
MEANS-Group of 22 attended the annual Renfro Valley
Christmas Show. Planning a Missions Day for late Dec. with guest
speaker Jack Fletcher. Jan. 17th will be Bible Conference Day
with several guest speakers and guest musicians, the theme will
be, “ Question that Demand an Answer”.
NORTHSIDE-Several from Northside went to Frankfort, KY., to
see “Christmas in Mayberry”. Northside recognized Bro. Jesse
Kline in Nov. for being our Pastor for 15 yrs. We thank the Lord
everyday for him and Sharon.
PANOLA-Welcome to new member, Bobby Elkins. Annual
Christmas Dinner Dec. 13th after Morning Worship.
.PROVIDENCE-CC– Youth Group plan a “Lock-in” at the
church on Dec. 11. Christmas Program evening of Dec. 20.
PROVIDENCE, E.C– Had a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner, we
have been so blessed. The Children will be presenting a Christmas
play on Dec. 18, the Choir has been practicing for a Cantata on the
20th and that evening the Adults will have a play. The Men will be
going to Bronson’s Children’s Home on the 19th that is always a
blessing to the Men and Boys of our Church.
REID VILLAGE-We proclaimed a Church wide fast on Sat. Nov
7th. We prayed that the Spirit of God would fall on our Revival.
Bro. Scott McDonald was our Evangelist. We were blessed with a
good Revival. On Nov 8 we reached our Sunday School goal. The
goal was 80 and we had 82 in attendance.
SALEM-Had a good Revival with Bro. Keith Sands. Had Deacon
Ordination for Bro. Jimmy Crase. WMU delivered 13 fruit baskets
in the community. Hanging of the Greens, Children’s Christmas
Program, Christmas Dinner together, Caroling and Watch Night
Service.
SPRING STREET-Christmas Cantata Dec. 20th.
SPEARS MILL-Our Church family enjoyed a wonderful
Thanksgiving meal together. Have enjoyed an awesome
Children’s Christmas Program and a wonderful Adult Cantata.
THOMAS-Nile Fowler & Tommy Lane were elected as Trustees
at our Nov. Business Mtg. We lost a member of our Congregation,
Betty Brandenburg. The Ladies Annual Christmas Party is
scheduled for Sat. Dec. 19th @ 2 pm.
WILLIAMS MEMORIAL-Making plans for “Find it Here”
campaign in the spring.

to 1.5 Million households across KY during March 6-21,2010. Churches this would be great
for every community in our Association. April 4,2010 is Harvest Sunday, and April 18,2010 is
Reach in, Reach out, Reach up Sunday School High Attendance Sunday. We probably can
receive the handout bags and brochures by late January or early February.
