Posteriormente el alumno puede ingresar a la Enseanza Superior que puede
ser de tipo
universitario general, cuyos estudios tienen una duracin de 4 a 6 aos,
otorgando el
grado de Bachiller (licenciatura en Mxico); de tipo normalista, con un
programa de 4
aos; vocacional, con una duracin de 2 a 3 aos y las escuelas politcnicas
cuya
duracin vara dependiendo del tipo de grado acadmico que se desee.

Como ya se sabe, los coreanos son los primeros de la clase, segn el ltimo
informe PISA. Han desbancado, incluso, a Finlandia. Todos se preguntan cual es
el secreto, y en dicho reportaje se pone de manifiesto. Sin embargo Estarimos
dispuestos a hacer lo mismo?. En el reportaje se muestra el da a da de So-jung
Kim, una chica coreana de quince aos y de clase, ms bien, media alta.

6:00 h. Suena el despertador.

6.20 h. Desayuno en familia.El desayuno y la cena son los mejores momentos

horas lectivas por la tarde (tres los martes). Los escolares tienen que aprovar de
diez a doce asignaturas por semestre.

15.35 h. Antes de dejar la clase: toca limpiar el aula. Los alumnos ayudan a
limpiar el aula antes de marcharse. "Nos organizamos en dos turnos. A cada
turno le toca una semana". La disciplina es rigurosa. Tanto el uniforme escolar
como el traje de gimnasia deben estar impolutos.

17.00 h. Clases de refuerzo: la jornada interminable. Recibe clases extras de
matemticas, ingls (su nivel de ingls permite que se la entreviste en ese
idioma) y lengua coreana. Cuestan 700 euros al mes. Exhaustos, algunos
compaeros luchan por no quedarse dormidos.

19.30 h. Un regalo: Clases de guitarra. Las clases de guitarra son un premio, pero
en la prctica suponen un esfuerzo suplementario. Sus padres la incentivan con
regalos. "El semestre pasado: un perrito, un viaje y una cmara. Y siempre me
estn animando."

20.10 h. Al llegar a casa: ayudar a pap. So-jung Kim llega a casa pasadas las
ocho de la noche. Los jueves ayuda en la consulta de su padre, que atiende
gratuitamente a pacientes ancianos. Luego cenan y su madre comprueba como
lleva sus tareas.

23.00 h. Repaso nocturno, y as todos los das. Sube algunas fotos a facbook, da
un ltimo repaso a las lecciones y se mete en la cama "estoy tan cansada que
me cuesta quedarme dormida. No es fcil aguantar un da tras otros, sobre todo
con exmenes"

Su jornada es de apa: de seis a siete horas de clase en una escuela pblica, a
las que se suman tres de refuerzo en academias privadas y una de guitarra, sin
contar el gimnasio, los deberes y el trabajo voluntario como asistente de su
padre, doctor en medicina oriental. Cuando se meta en la cama, a las once de la
noche, todava dar un ltimo repaso a las lecciones del da siguiente y leer
unas pginas de una biografa antes de que se le cierren los ojos.Su da es de lo
ms tpico. Es duro ser adolescente en Corea del Sur. Pero supongo que es
igual de duro ser adolescente en cualquier parte del mundo. A esta edad nos
estamos jugando nuestro futuro, sentencia.
