10(0): Daddys Team (0-6) Points: 498.5 Breakdown: 12-42
I believe it was Jason Mraz that sang I wont give up on us, even if the skies get rough, Im giving you all my love, Im still looking up and for Daddy.. I am still looking up! Only down by 2 games, it is still a very real possibility that if your guys can just pull their heads out of their asses and actually start playing that you could make a run. Now with that being said you are rocking a cool 83 points per game, which is pretty damn low for the PPR era, but nothing Daddy cant fix (I can hear Jake now stop saying Daddy! but I wont!). Im still on the bandwagon, I may go down with the metaphorical ship and be cheering for a 0-12 team to win just one game, but Ill still be there, because I wont give up. Unfortunately we play each other this week, but that doesnt mean I wont still be cheering for you. #LetsGo #Onewin #IfWinningIsASinThenDaddyIsASaint #Pray 9(0): Never Say Die (0-6) Points: 554.5 Breakdown: 16-38 The amount of heartbreak that comes with this post is more than you know, seeing a team start off 0-6 is hard, seeing it happen twice, even harder. The worst part about it is that if you were in the AFC and not the NFC then you would have a real chance of making the playoffs, considering a 2-4 team is in the 3 rd
spot right now. Unfortunately though youre in the NFC, where the #3 team over here is actually the #1 team in the Power Rankings (spoiler alert). It is still mathematically possible, but the amount of logical possibility is slowly slipping out of the ever closing window that is still open. Right now it isnt about making moves, its just about hoping your guys perform..and everyone elses break their legs! 8(0): Graham Crackers (2-4) Points: 542 Breakdown: 16-38 That final playoff spot is in reach, you can straight up taste it I know, and this week youve got the 0-6 New team name teamI mean Never Say Die. With the JGB playing the Sanchize this week youve got a shot to move up if you can take care of business this week. Im not putting any guarantees out that who you need to lose will lose, but the opportunity is there if your guys can make it happen. But with Jimmy Graham still not in the lineup this week it would be great if you could have Lacy and a few others really come to play this week to make up those lost points. Even though he is a monster and could win you a game practically by himself, if you lose this week you may want to entertain the possibility of trading Graham to try and upgrade at a few other positions, its hard to let go of some guys but it might be a solution in the long run. 7(0): The Sanchize (3-3) Points: 588.5 Breakdown: 21-33 Only at certain times can you snag a top tier QB from a team who doesnt have a backup and when you dont trade one back to them, its rare but it has happenedin some other league Im sure. But with that being said now youve got a player who is contending with Demarco Murray for fantasy football MVP this year, believe me when I say you want to have the MVP on your teamits a good thing. So now the Phillip Rivers era begins for this team, and luckily for me youre playing the other division right now and I dont have to worry about him. This team will strongly contend for a playoff spot but as there are only 3 spots for what is looking to be a 4 team race, someone will be on the outside looking in, well find out soon if this team will be able to catch those ahead of them.
6(-1): Jordy Green Bryant (2-4) Points: 663.5 Breakdown: 34-20 It has to be hard to have a better breakdown than the 2 teams above you and currently be on a 4 game skid, the schedule is a bitch sometimes and all I can say is that weve definitely all been there before at some point in time. The good news is even though youre 2-4 you are still sitting at 3 rd place in your division and being that playoffs are done intra division youd still be in at this point (because you beat Brent and hold the tie breaker over him so far). Things are looking up though, Brady had a great game last week, Moreno is done for the year so Miller will get better, and AJ will be coming back at some point in the near future (hopefully not week 8 when we play lol). Dont go into the light, your fantasy season isnt dead, in fact its only just about to begin. 5(+1): Saved By LeBell (4-2) Points: 589.5 Breakdown: 24-30 With some help from the other division youve finally made it to the top of the AFC, tied for the time being, but still there. With a good matchup facing your fellow division mate you have a shot at being alone at the top.but youve got a date with the only team in league history to start off 5-0.and now theyre 6-0, do me a favor and dont let him get to 7-0 lol. Even though this team is sporting a 4-2 record it would appear that they werent too confident in themselves as yesterday they traded away the #2 QB in the league for a couple of good receivers. The move surely shakes up this team and it remains to be seen who this teams field general will be, but for the time being well sit back, watch, and pray for a victory this week lol. 4(0): The First Rounders (5-1) Points: 710 Breakdown: 33-21 As soon as this team can make it through the bye weeks theyll be a lot less stressful weeks than this past one, although scoring a league high with 3 starters on a bye is something incredible, the amount of this weeks time spent on free agent acquisitions was a little absurd. But one way or another this team is at 5-1 with the 2 nd most points in the league and for some reason, still cannot gain a game on Ay-Ay Ron.must be frustrating. With another bye week hitting and another member of the Fab 5 sitting out it looks like itll be up to the fantastic four to get it done. 3(-2): Bushy Man-things (4-2) Points: 710 Breakdown: 38-16 And down goes Frazier! The 3 time defending Power Ranking champion staggered slightly this week when he took his 2 nd L of the season, which ended a 3 game winning streak. This team had a performance that was unlike any of their other performances on the year as they put up their lowest point total so far (by 2.5 points). Even though he took another loss he is still sitting at the top of his division and is tied for the 2 nd most points. This coming week the Man-things will be matched up with Sankey whos incredible 42-12 breakdown record should tell you all you need to know about them, it is going to be a tough matchup but if he can pull out the win it will be a big boost for the AFC who happened to lose 4/5 matchups to the NFC last week. 2(0): Ay-Ay Ron (6-0) Points: 701.5 Breakdown: 36-18 At 6-0, the best start any team has ever had for our league, and youre #2.again. Its not you, its your points and breakdown. Although you may have the best record, your team hasnt been playing like the best team (see below), but they have been playing really good (like the 2 nd best team). As I say every week, this team has the makings of a champion, and if there is a team to win Jake his first championship Id say this is the one, heres why. Consistency, Lynch and Cobb only have 1 game a piece where they didnt go for double digits, Rodgers, has 3 games of 30 or more, and the most important thing that Jake has never had, HEALTH! Everyone is actually healthy right now (hope I didnt jinx you just now), but here is the worst part, had you started T.Y. Hilton last week, youd be #1 in the power rankings.its sad but its true.
1(+2): Sanky Pank (4-2) Points: 790.5 Breakdown: 42-12 It has been a long time coming, but finally youve made it back to the top, with a 80.5 point lead on the next closest teams as far as points go this team is still hitting on all cylinders. With an average of 131.75 ppg this team is looking to set some records when it comes to points scored for a season, but considering the team has Luck, Murray, Forte and Brown you cant really blame them. The fantastic four that I just mentioned all will start their byes in week 9 so we should see a slight dip in points from weeks 9-12 but other than that I dont see this teams pace slowing down any time soon, even though they have 2 losses on the year both were to the team that scored the most points that week, that is why this team is sitting on top of the power rankings right now.
