Terms and conditions

1. The photograph must be of a bird or related subject that can be categorized

under one of the following categories: Bird Portraits, Bird Behaviour, Bird
Habitats, Endemic and rare birds, People and Birds, Birds in crisis.
2. Photographs must be artistic or informative.
3. Photographs must have been taken in Sri Lanka.
4. Any person, both FOGSL members and non-members, who wishes to accept the
terms and conditions can apply for this exhibition.
5. The photographs must not have been awarded previously at other exhibitions.
6. The costs of printing must be borne by exhibitors. The size of the photograph
should be 8x12 in portrait or landscape orientation.
7. The photographs could be in colour or black and white.
8. Photographs should not be edited using any kind of software. You should be
willing to provide original soft copies of photographs if requested by the FOGSL
photographic committee 2014, to prove your ownership and originality of the
photographs.
9. A grand winner and the best photograph of each category will be awarded a
valuable gift. An independent expert panel consisted of leading bird
photographers will be selecting the winners.
10. A certificate of participation will be awarded for each participant.
11. If you wish to sell your photograph at the end of the exhibition, please mention
the price in the application. 10% of the price should be given to FOGSL.
12. The FOGSL photographic committee 2014 will take responsibility to any damage
caused to the photographs at the exhibition.
13. The closing date for submitting applications is 15/11/2014. The selected
applicants will be informed by 22/11/2014.
14. All applications will be considered by the FOGSL photographic Committee 2014,
and their decision is final.
