Dear students, I welcome you all to the first semester, particularly to the very first year
of your IBA journey and expect that it would be a new opening giving you the direction
towards a better life. You are not only to learn the discipline you enrolled in but also
adapt to a professional attitude in order to be a successful student and an effective

Intro$u%tion to the Course
&he course is designed to familiari$e students to the history of 'a!istan. It challenges the
traditional narrative of 'a!istan history that is a narrative how the state views or li!es to
represent 'a!istan history. &he objective is to give afresh perspective on 'a!istan history.
&he discussion mode in the semester emphasi$es on revisiting history to come to a better
or new understanding of past. It will help student identify with present and understand
today#s 'a!istan and its problems in a better way.
