Procedure for User Login
Below are the steps to initiate the connection for HSD Step-1 Provide the Appropriate User Name, Password & Domain Name and hit enter on login screen appears on the Thin-client
Post entering user credentials you will be successfully logged to HSD Server post this you will see the one new ICON is created in your monitor. Kindly double click on ICON and the session will be launched from the HSD server and you would be able to see your desktop as Figure show below

Note: Before you are leaving the office or once you done with the work, please logoff the HSD session and Power off the Thin-client
Steps to logoff safely from the HSD session
To logoff from the HSD session Click on the Start menu and click on logoff button
Clicking on Log Off button will allow you to log off/exit safely from the HSD session

HSD Dos and Donts Dos Do logoff the HSD once your through with the work or leaving for the day Do lock the HSD if you are going away from the desk or leaving the desk/session idle Do delete/Archive the unused/unwanted/old files from the Mapped drive. Do logoff the HSD on Sunday rather than disconnection the session and leaving it idle; Since the technology team will perform maintenance activity on Servers Do Shutdown the Thin-Client every day before you leave for the day and whenever not in use Do keep all the data only on Z drive
Donts Do not lock the HSD and leave it, if you are done with your work and leaving for the Day or not for using for more than 2 hours. Do not store any data/files on the Desktop other than Z:\ Drive Do not click on the Disconnect button, which is available in start menu Do not delete any ICON from the Desktop which is available as part of System
Note: Disconnect will keep the user logged in HSD and the session will be running on the Server till its logged off or terminated.

Few Known issues and solutions Error Reason Steps need to be taken invalid credentials/ Wrong user name or password This error is typically caused by an incorrectly typed password/user name Re-attempt with correct password, still if not working Contact care desk tem The desktop that you are trying to connect to is currently unavailable. Try reconnecting and, if the problem persists, contact your system administrator. HSD may not powered on or not registered Contact care desk tem Error: The connection to 'group name' failed with status 1030 Contact care desk tem Unable to connect NW cable may be disconnected, port issue, etc Check for others if none of them is able to connect please check with local Helpdesk else Contact care desk tem HSD Session Running slow/ Sluggish screen Remote computer issue or NW issue Contact care desk tem The session currently unavailable
Thin client not powering on Hardware issue Contact care desk tem
