Note: Insert the supplied CD your computer, and open the CDROM drive folder.

1. Double Click & Install Toyota Techstream 8.00.034.
2. Double Click & Install Toyota Techstream V8.20.019.exe
3. Double Click & Install Toyota Techstream V8.30.023.exe
4. Open the Patch Folder and Copy and paste Copy and paste Copy and paste Copy and paste the file MainMenu.exe MainMenu.exe MainMenu.exe MainMenu.exe to the
Techstream installation folder on your computer. (C:\Program Files\Toyota Diagnostics\Techstream\bin\).
Ovewrite Ovewrite Ovewrite Ovewrite the original file.
Note: To open the techstream installation folder quickly; click start, all programs, Techstream Diagnostics,
Right click on the icon of Techstream and click properties. On the shortcut dialog tab, click Find Target Find Target Find Target Find Target or
Open Open Open Open File location File location File location File location for Windows 7/8 . .. . The techstream installation folder will then open.

5. Open the folder M-VCI Drivers and right click the file J2534 - Mangoose Pro.exe
and click Run as Administrator Run as Administrator Run as Administrator Run as Administrator. . . . Note: On Windows XP just double click the file.
6. Plug in the Mini-Vci Scan tool to a USB port of your computer. Double check if "MVCI" is detected and
installed as "USB Serial Converter" In the Device manager. If not, FTDI USB Serial Converter drivers are
included in the driver\ftdi folder. Do not use other USB serial converter drivers especially those intended for
other USB serial scan tools like ELM327 USB.
7. 7. 7. 7. Start your Techstream. In the area selection screen select OTHER and click next. Select English in the next
Screen and click next. In the next screen enter any text for the Dealer name/code and county/region. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT
CHANGE the User Type CHANGE the User Type CHANGE the User Type CHANGE the User Type. . . . Click OK. Minimize the Techstream software and go back to the contents of the CD.

8. Open the file Sofware Key and highlight all the text, right click and click copy (or CNTRL-C for shortcut).

9. Go back to Techstream and click Setup and then click Register Techstream Software. Paste the copied key to
the New Key field of the dialog box and click OK.


10. Click Setup and VIM Select. From the Interface setup dropdown list, select J2534 Mangoose Pro. Click OK
when finished

11. You can now use Techstream Software! Click Connect Connect Connect Connect to Vehicle to Vehicle to Vehicle to Vehicle and follow the prompts to connect to your
vehicle. Note: For documentation of how to use Techstream, click the Help Section of the program to access
the Software Documentation.
