Printing units deliver consistent quality. The printing
units of the Speedmaster CD 102 ensure quiet,
smooth and precise operation. The automated plate
changer AutoPlate cuts your makeready times. The
AirTransfer system that ensures contact-free sheet
travel provides outstanding print results. Color adjust-
ment is further optimized by the software-controlled
Color Fast Solution module, which speeds up inking
unit response by 50 to 70 percent. The speed-com-
pensated dampening system Alcolor with the Vario
system for preventing hickeys achieves an incredibly
thin lm of dampening solution and a consistent ink/
water balance. Modular washup devices for the blanket
and impression cylinders enable rapid and thorough
cleaning.
Straightforward operation and precision control. The
high-performance Prinect Press Center combines
the press control system and remote color and register
control in a single central console. When changing jobs,
the innovative, process-oriented operator guidance
system Intellistart draws on all relevant information
from both the current job and the following job. While
one job is being processed, you can already be pre-
paring the next. The standard daylight lamp provides
optimum illumination for the console. The press is
depicted in cut-out prole on the integrated wallscreen
with all functions dynamically simulated. The print
sheet is displayed with ink zones depicted in their
actual width. The Prinect Press Center control station
and the Prinect Axis Control and Prinect Image
Control color measurement systems form a single
optimally integrated unit.
The perfect start for productivity the Preset Plus
Feeder. The Preset Plus Feeder is designed for high
and reliable production speeds across the entire range
of materials from 0.03 to 1 mm (0.0012 to 0.039 in).
All settings are fully automatic as a function of format

minutes on each printing stock and format change. Productivity: You achieve high production speeds of
up to 15,000 sheets per hour and short makeready and setup times thanks to the high level of automation
and minimum waste. Quality: The Venturi nozzle technology of the AirTransfer system transfers the sheets
smoothly from printing unit to printing unit. Integration: Fully integrated into the Prinect workow, you can
benet from the ultimate in data management at the Prinect Press Center. Environment: By reducing paper
waste, the Speedmaster CD 102 helps safeguard valuable resources.
The coating systems satisfy the highest coating
requirements. A range of coating systems can be
operated with the Speedmaster CD 102, thereby en-
abling you to meet a wide range of surface nishing
needs. You can choose between a two-roller system,
the conventional chambered blade system for high-
end gloss and spot coatings, and the Flexokit for so-
phisticated surface nishes using special coatings
that tend to foam. The Modular Coating System is a
exible chambered blade system for the nal printing
unit, which is ideal if you only occasionally need to
apply full-area coatings.
The dryers of the Speedmaster CD 102 deliver fast
production times. All Heidelberg dryers are opti-
mally geared to the press they are tted in and to
a whole range of applications. The dryer DryStar
Combination, which is integrated into the delivery,
is the ideal solution for drying coating applications.
It combines infrared, hot-air and circulating-air mod-

livery dryers with up to three lamps in the extended

Tidy and neatly aligned the perfect pile. The Preset
Plus Delivery ensures ultra-precise pile formation.
The dynamic sheet brake decelerates the sheet in a
reliable and controlled manner. The delivery air sys-
tem ensures that the pile is formed with the neatly
aligned edges essential for optimum nishing. Pre-
cise adjustments can be made using the jogwheel
and touchscreen. All preset values are adopted from
the Prinect Press Center, which cuts your makeready
times signicantly. The unique powder spray device
PowderStar AP 500 delivers efcient powder
application. The process air cleaning system
CleanStar minimizes the accumulation of dust
and odors at the press.
