Then, teacher will write the lyric of the song 'Five Senses'' on the whiteboard. Teacher will sing and then have the students to sing the song with actions. Then, teacher will divide the students into pairs and distribute worksheet 1. Then, teacher will divide the students into groups of 5 to 6 and distribute worksheet 2. Students and teacher will check the answer together. Finally, teacher asks the students what they have learnt. CONTENT STANDARD LEARNING STANDARD 4.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to enjoy and appreciate rhymes, poems and songs. 4.1.2 Able to sing action songs, recite jazz chants and poems with correct pronunciation, rhythm and intonation. 3.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to form letters and words in neat legible print including cursive writing. 3.1.1 Able to write in neat legible print with correct spelling:

Teacher asks the students about the students can see, what they can hear, what they can smell etc. 2. Teacher then points on his/her nose, eyes, skin, tongue and ears to the students and ask what are those organs are for. Teaching aids: Picture of sensory organs Activity 1 10 minutes Singing the Song 1. Teacher writes the Five senses song lyrics on the whiteboard. 2. Teacher reads and the students may follow. 3. Students read the song lyric on the whiteboard under the teachers guidance. 4. Teacher sings the songs with action and the students may follow. 5. Teacher sings the song together with the students.
Activity 2 20 minutes Introduction to Five Organs of Senses! 1. Teacher will show pictures of the five organs of senses (eyes, nose, ears, tongue, & skin) 2. Teacher will orally ask the students what each picture shows. 3. Teacher pronounces each organ and what it does. 4. Students spell and pronounce the words (3 three times for each word) 5. Students are given Worksheet 1. 6. Teacher starts showing the pictures and names of each organs again, and students will copy the words down onto the worksheet. Teaching aid: Worksheet 1 Activity 3 20 minutes Making Sentences 1. Teacher will divide the students into groups of 5 or 6. 2. Teacher distributes a second worksheet to the students. 3. Teacher will give examples of simple sentences for the students using the five organs of senses. Eg. Eyes to see, Ears to hear, Tongue to taste etc. 4. Students will write simple sentences about each organ of senses. 5. Teacher helps the students to check the sentences. Teaching aids: Worksheet 2 in reference to Worksheet 1 Closure 5 minutes 1. Teacher asks the students what they have learnt today 2. Teacher and students will sing the song together. 3. Teacher asks the students to say out loud the five organs of senses. 4. Teacher emphasizes the value of taking care of each organ and also health.
