Trust your children to the care of our dedicated, loving

Children’s Ministry staff. Our children’s programs provide qual-
ity care and learning for kids of all ages.
If your child has not already been enrolled in our Children’s
Ministry, a quick visit to the Children’s Ministry Registration
Station will provide you with temporary security tags and give us
the information we need to effectively minister to your child.
Infants & Preschool Children
Childcare and teaching are available during the 9:10 and 10:45 hour in the Nursery
and Preschool Departments.
Kindergarten–4th Grade
During the 9:10 hour, K–4th graders gather in the gym and then go to graded
classroom groups for Bible learning and fun.
K–4th graders attend their own age-appropriate children’s church, called KZ
Church, in room 152 at 10:45.
*12/20—All K-4th graders to remain with their parents today.
Xtreme AM (5th & 6th Grade)
Our preteens meet in their own Xtreme spot, Room 205, at 9:10 for a time of Xtreme
learning, Xtreme prayer and Xtreme relationship-building.
*12/20—No Xtreme AM today.
Youth (Grade 7–12) & Adults
Groups for ADULTS begin at 9:10AM and 10:45AM. Stop by the Welcome
Center (or see inside today’s newspaper) to find out about each of the groups and
how to get there.
Our YOUTH (Grade 7–12) meet at 9:10AM in the Backdoor (148).

auditorium at 10:45AM.

regular M-F office hours. Lost and found items are kept for 30 days.

First Federated Church regards your safety as our highest priority. If you have any
concerns, please inform one of our ushers or staff. If a building emergency arises,
directions will be provided over the public address system.

service at the Resource Center in the foyer for $3.

Communion
We celebrate communion typically on a bi-monthly basis during the morning
worship service or special event. We have an open table, meaning that if you have
put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, you are welcome to participate. Gluten-
free communon wafers are available upon request.

Moody Aviation. Dan’s
goal is to see every Moody
Aviation Maintenance
Specialist/Pilot Mechanic
student taught the skill
and given the knowledge
to perform aviation related tasks safely and to the standard set by
aviation missions.
Dan & Sylvia Rogers also serve
with MAF, currently on home assign-
ment in the States. As a missionary
pilot/mechanic, Dan provides safe
transportation for missionaries, Chris-
tian workers, medical workers and
patients in rain forest areas where there
is no other means of transportation.
The Rogers have served in Suriname,
Haiti, Honduras, and Ecuador.
The following is an article from Mission Aviation Fellowship,
Nampa, Idaho.
“Starting in Nampa, Idaho, stopping for fuel in Alaska and
the Midway Islands, as well as other distant ‘fuel depots’ along
the way, and finally arriving in Papua, Indonesia, the first MAF
KODIAK will soon be at work.
“David Rask, director of the MAF Aviation Resources divi-
sion, who has been intimately involved with the sending of this
first MAF KODIAK, was asked to share his thoughts about this
historic day:
“I’m so excited to think about its arrival in Papua! I’ve worked
there, and I know the exact places it’s going. These are little,
narrow valleys, and the KODIAK will be the biggest airplane
the people have ever seen in those places. When it lands and
the engine goes into braking mode, when they hear that loud
‘whoosh’ sound, it will just echo around the valleys like nothing
they’ve ever heard before. The whooping and hollering, and the
excitement—it’ll be incredible!
“This first MAF KODIAK means no more cancelled flights
for lack of fuel; much greater speed; more people transported far-
ther and faster; and more room for injured passengers and their
families, leaving none behind. It’ll be a new day for them, and for
missions at the end of the earth. I would love to be there.”
Prayer Requests:
• For the Lord to provide the financial resources to replace
much of the MAF fleet with 19 very expensive, but highly
efficient KODIAK aircraft.
• For these resources to occur without taking away a single
dime of support from the existing MAF flight programs and
ministry.
• For new KODIAKS as they are delivered to MAF headquarters
and ferried overseas where, on arrival, they will go to work.

Mission Board: Global Outreach Mission
Location: Mussoorie, UK, India
What do they do? The Maliks’ goal
is evangelism and church planting
among the Tibetan Buddhist peoples in India, Nepal and the
Central Asian region. They manage a guesthouse facility
in their home, sponsor Tibetan refugee children, serve with
an international networking organization, send and support
church planting missionaries to Nepal. Tsering (a Tibetan)
serves at Woodstock (Christian Missionary) School.
Praises:
• After 9 months of multiple surgeries, a steel plate and several
screws in his right foot, Tony, though still stiff, is striding
along quite well.
• This past year a large number have come to know the Savior,
receiving baptism and becoming part of fellowship groups
in Nepal.
Prayer Requests:
• For the many Tibetans who have received their witness, but
still do not know Him.
• For a trip to Delhi after Christmas, to visit Tony’s recently
widowed father.
• For a US visa.
• For a ministry trip to Thailand in January and safe return to
India on February 1.
Michael & April, Two Sons
Location: Asia
What do they do? As tentmakers, Michael and April participate
in ongoing survey and translation work focusing on reaching
a specific unreached minority people group with the Gospel.
The complicated language, along with trade languages, must
be mastered to reach those in remote areas. They are part of
a strategic partnership between various organizations seek-
ing to serve the same language group.
Praises:
• Mike is having his most productive year yet with the lan-
guage work.
• Their sons have had a good home school year.
Prayer Requests:
• Plans for home leave this coming summer, involving much
preparation for Mike, giving him the ability to supervise
language helpers overseas from the US.
• For a place to rent, transportation and schooling for their
sons in the US.
• Funds needed for travel.
• For their oldest son as his senior year is very challenging;
funds to meet his tuition expenses.
• For complete recovery from youngest son’s parasite type
symptoms.

Town Hall Meeting It’s Time for Nominations

ing and selecting men and women to serve our church through

Why are we starting a Stephen Ministry?

We are beginning training for Stephen Ministry here at FFC
in January 2010 and will be ready to offer a care giving outreach
after Easter. This will be a ministry to
those struggling with grief, loss of job,
chronic illness, a major life change or many
other issues. The leadership and staff have
been looking at this for several years and
are excited about the implementation of
training that will enable lay people at FFC
to minister to those in our body who need
some encouragement.
Each week we will have updates in the
newspaper, explaining more about this ministry and when we
will begin this vital ministry.
