INDIAN MARKET
INDIAN FACE


INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARK after enjoying a really long
weekend, cracked sharply on Tuesday. The Sensex and Nifty
ended at a 2-month closing low amid all round selling
witnessed across sectors. Weak global cues dampened the
sentiment on the street. European stock markets along with
the Asian peers fell sharply after industrial output in
Germany slumped 4% in August.

Further, Infosys, which is set to report its second-quarter
earnings on Friday, fell 0.4 percent.

Shares of Cipla were down 4%. The Company announced
signing of a definitive agreement with its existing Iranian
distributor for setting up a manufacturing facility in Iran.

GLOBAL FACE

Asian stocks rose, while the dollar languished after investors
locked in some gains on its recent rally.

European shares dipped for second day of weak German data
sent European markets into retreat on Tuesday with stocks.
The euro and periphery euro zone government debt all
knocked by the mounting evidence of an abrupt slowdown in
the bloc's economic engine room.

US stock index futures poised for a lower opening at the Wall
Street on Tuesday.

MARKET TALKS


To a 27-month low. The stock has hit a high of Rs306 and a low of
Rs291. Total traded quantity on the counter stood at over 2.21 lk
shares.

Apollo Tyres stock ends 6 Percent
higher

Shares of Apollo Tyres ended 6% higher to Rs 208 after the
Reserve Bank of India said foreign investors can buy up to 45%
stake in the tyre manufacturer."Foreign Institutional Investors
Registered Foreign Portfolios Investors, through primary market and
stock exchanges, can now purchase up to 45% of the paid-up
capital of Apollo Tyres under the Portfolio Investment Scheme,"

SCI, GAIL close up; sign MoU for
LNG imports

"Reference is drawn to the Corporate Announcement made by SCI
on June 07, 2013 whereby it was informed that GAIL (India) Ltd and
SCI had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to
cooperate for transportation of LNG sourced by GAIL from USA. It
may be noted that the said parties have signed a MoU for working
together on the tendering process for the shipping requirement of
GAILs LNG import from USA.


GMR Infrastructure stock closed
11% higher

Shares of GMR Infrastructure ended higher by 11% at Rs19 after
the company said the first 685 MW unit of GMR Chhattisgarh
Energy Limiteds(GCEL) 1370 MW supercritical coal-based thermal
power plant at Raikheda in Chhattisgarhs Raipur District has
successfully achieved synchronization with the grid on 2nd October,
2014.

Strides Arcolab Board recommends
Special Dividend... ends 3% up

Strides Arcolab Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of
the Company at its meeting held on October 07, 2014, have
approved A Special Dividend of Rs. 105/- (Rupees One Hundred
Five Only) per equity share of Rs. 10/- each to the shareholders of
the Company. The said Special Dividend will be paid on or after
October 22, 2014.

Cairn India stock closes 4 Percent
lower.

Shares of Cairn India ended 4% down to Rs 292, as Brent crude fell
