COILED PIPE MARKERS

Description

MS-995 wraparound pipe markers are designed to identify piping in chemically harsh plant environments.
Marker consist of printed polyester with a top layer of UV-filtering film, laminated together to form a single
construction. All printing and graphics are between the two layers of film for protection from the plant
environment. Markers can comply with current ASME standards, or additional color-code banding can be
included with RAL-matched colours. Markers are pre-coiled to fit piping with all outside diameters
(including insulation). Larger diameter piping can be labeled with a rigid strap-on carrier marker affixed with
stainless steel banding. Printing on pipe markers generally includes pipe contents and flow direction arrows,
but line number, and pipe line origin and destination can also be included.

Features
The MS-1000
TM
clear top laminate functions as an ultra-violet filter, providing maximum protection against
fading due to prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. The MS-1000
TM
top layer also provides excellent
resistance to chemicals including all hydrocarbons, acids, bases and solvents. The service temperature range for
MS-995 wraparound pipe markers is -40F to 250F (-40C to 121C).

Markers are pre-coiled to fit specific size ranges of piping. They wrap entirely around the circumference of
a pipe, overlap and seal to themselves by means of a pre-applied MS-1000
TM
self-adhesive sealing strip.
The marker remains in place due to this self-bonding feature rather than relying on an adhesive sticking to
the pipe surface. No surface preparation is required for installation. MS-995 material is self-extinguishing.
