Wheeled bin collections begin at 7am. Bins should be presented at
the kerbside or edge of the road with lids closed and handles out.
A back door collection can be arranged for households unable to put
their bin out for collection due to illness, incapacity, mobility issues etc.
Normally only one 240L landll bin will be collected per household.

households with six or more permanent residents or households with a
medical condition that causes extra waste to be generated.
No additional bags will be collected. All waste must be placed
inside the bin with the lid properly closed.
It is every householders responsibility to ensure they have a landll bin.

Shredded paper cannot be accepted in the
green bin as it blocks the mechanism that
separates the different materials at the recycling
facility. Shredded paper can be composted
in a home composter or small amounts can be
disposed of in your brown bin.
All materials should be put loose into the green bin
as plastic bags cannot be recycled and therefore

Wheeled bin collections begin at 7am. Bins should be presented at
the kerbside or edge of the road with lids closed and handles out.
A back door collection can be arranged for households unable to put
their bin out for collection due to illness, incapacity, mobility issues etc.
Normally only one 240L landll bin will be collected per household.
Additional disposal capacity will be provided by the Council for
households with six or more permanent residents or households with a
medical condition that causes extra waste to be generated.
No additional bags will be collected. All waste must be placed
inside the bin with the lid properly closed.
It is every householders responsibility to ensure they have a landll bin.
For information on obtaining green or brown bins or caddies, please
contact the Waste Management team on 028 9250 9453.
Lisburn City Council also runs an amenity collection for householders
wishing to dispose of larger items such as furniture and white goods.
For more information contact 028 9267 3417.
