Introduction on the Maintenance of National Roads and Bridges discussed to us
by the Chief of Maintenance Division himself, Engr. Amado Martinez, followed by a
lecture on the significance of the Location Reference Point (LRP), functional
classification of roads, and a piece of information regarding on the General
Appropriation Act (GAA), Annual Maintenance Work Program (AMWP) and the Motor
Vehicle Users Chart (MVUC) conferred to us by Engr. Jerry Casibang. He also talked
about the defects on concrete pavement even the required solution to be undertaken.
They have also showed us the Roads Sign Networks implemented by the blah blah..
Secondly, Engr. Ronald Castilla showed us a copy of the typical section of the
revetment of the Cagayan River Basin (Camalaniugan Flood Control Project) that they
are currently working on. The Project Profile was shown and explained to us and we
were able to comprehend the Project Description, Contract Data, Contract Schedule,
Contract Status, Project Update, Financial Status, and Problem/Issues/Action taken of
the said project.
Engr. Byron Battung dissertated on the Repair/Maintenance of Other Public
Buildings in the Region, wherein it contains the District, Number of Projects, Total
Project Cost, Total Accomplishment, and Total Percent of Accomplishment.
Engr. Rosalinda Salvatierra discussed to us the Roadside Maintenance Program,
under this, she emphasized the Amendment to the implementing Rules and Regulations
(IRR) of Republic Act 8794
