Security Awareness and Training Manager
Scope, purpose and nature of role
The Security Awareness and Training Manager (SATMAN is responsible for de!eloping and
deli!ering strategies and plans to raise the general le!el of awareness of information security" and
to train rele!ant employees in more depth on certain aspects# The SATMAN r$le lies within the
%nformation Security function" reporting to the %nformation Security Manager" but is closely aligned
with other corporate functions such as &uman 'esources" 'is( Management" )ompliance and
%nformation Technology" and may in!ol!e liaison with or management of third party suppliers of
awareness and training materials and ser!ices# *hile this is a management r$le" the SATMAN is
e+pected to de!elop and deli!er awareness and training materials in person" hands,on" as well as
through online -earning Management Systems and other teachers.trainers in the team#

wor( e+perience0
Awareness and training: demonstrable e+perience as a team member" team leader"
manager" teacher or trainer responsible for awareness and training acti!ities 4 ideally on
information security otherwise similar technical training or adult education0
Some e+posure to and familiarity with rele!ant standards such as %S5.%6) 7899:" %S5
79999" N%ST S2;99,3< and )5B%T" and applicable laws relating to information security and
pri!acy#
