FOREWORD

Alhamdulillah all praise belongs to Allah. Which has given grace and his gift to us all, so
we can accomplish the task of "Education in Indonesia".
We would like to thank those who have helped us in this paper, and thank you also to
our English teacher, Ms. Riri. We chose this title because we want to tell you how education in
Indonesia now. and we also want to motivate students to learn how good the curriculum in
2013.
For the perfection of this paper, we expect criticism and suggestions from readers, we're
only human who make mistakes. I hope our paper is useful for the readers.

CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION

A. BACKGROUND
Curriculum-Based Character Education 2013, a new curriculum was initiated by the
Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia to replace the Education Unit
Level Curriculum. Curriculum 2013 is a curriculum that promotes the understanding, skills, and
character education, students are required to understand the above material, is active in the
discussions and presentations, and has manners discipline. This curriculum replaces the
Education Unit Level Curriculum in place since 2006.
many Indonesian students who dont understand how this 2013 curriculum and how to
study. In this paper we will tell the student how to learn good.

B. DESTINATION
To help students to better understand education in Indonesia are now using curriculum
2013 and keep the spirit of learning to achieve their goals.






CHAPTER II
CONTENTS

Curriculum 2013 is the latest curriculum system, announced by the government, which
put into effect from the academic year 2013-2014. Plan changes are still confusing many people
and still be a debate for experts making up the new curriculum. Due to the curriculum in 2013
megabungkan each subject into clumps that means the number of subjects is now solidified. So
that students only learn four clumps of subjects but teaching hours increased from 26 hours to
30 hours per week. For example, science and social studies lessons that seemed to disappear as
a subject.
According to the Minister of Education and Culture Mohammad Nuh, the two subjects
were not eliminated, but being in a thematic integrative learning objects. That is, the two areas
did not become a separate subject, but merged into the Indonesian subjects.
Merging science and social studies to Indonesian fowl. For many people, this would
confuse the incorporation step. Why not vice versa, Indonesian materials go into science and
social studies subjects or all subjects. Indonesian would be more flexible to be integrated into
any theme. It could be due to reasons of nationalism and Indonesian may not be incorporated
into other subjects because it would be contrary to the Act of the National Education System. In
the rules of the legislation mentioned that Indonesian should stand as a separate subject in the
curriculum. As with the vernacular subjects such as language lessons Sundanese, Balinese,
Javanese or even eliminated. In 2013 the local language curriculum removed and joined with
other subjects, mean not stand alone as Indonesian.

We have interviewed the owner of a tutoring place of education in Indonesian now.
She thought curriculum 2013 is very completely. Couse, curriculum 2013 orientation are:
1. Attitude/behavior
Appreciate and practice the teachings of their religion.
2. Social
Develop honest behavior, discipline, responsibility, caring, polite, friendly
environment, mutual assistance, cooperation, peace-loving, responsive and proactive
attitude that shows as part of the solution to the various problems of the nation in
interacting effectively with the social and natural environment as well as in placing
themselves as a reflection of the nation in the association world.
3. Knowledge
Understand and apply knowledge of factual, conceptual, procedural in science,
technology, arts, culture, and humanities with an insight into humanity, national, state,
and civilization-related phenomena and events, as well as applying procedural
knowledge in a specific field of study according to their talents and interests to solve the
problem.

4. Capablelity/skill
Processing, reasoning, and menyaji in the realm of the concrete and abstract
domains associated with the development of the independently learned at school, and
was able to use the method according to the rules of science.
Students must be observe the lessons of the first time. After that, students make the
questions based on what did they see on the picture, video, or what they have read. Next, the
students associate that lesson and last, they make their own project of the material that they
have learned.
Curriculum 2013 is very different from the KTSP. KTSP still teacher center, but in
curriculum 2013 is students center. So, the students must be creative than before. In
curriculum 2013, the teacher have to know more about IT. They have to show the material as
media by using LCD.
Most students chose to go tutoring because the school is not too explain the lesson.
students should be able to share time, so that health remains awake and able to learn in school.
one way of learning in this 2013 curriculum with lots of reading books, pay attention to the
teacher, more active, so that a high value.














CHAPTER III
CONCLUSION

A. CONCLUSION
Curriculum 2013 is very different from the KTSP. Students must be actively and
frequently ask questions or answer questions from the teacher. Students must study hard and
read a book to be smart. Students also must take care, as time runs out only for school students
and learning.

B. SUGESTION
Curriculum in 2013 still need to be reviewed because of socialization can still be
considered very nil done by the government. Also a lot of public opinion that is counter to the
curriculum in 2013.
