Summary: Utilize ESRI Business Analyst software to assist in development of market analysis studies for La Macchia Group clients. Key responsibilities of this position are an advanced understanding of ESRI ArcView and familiarity with Business Analyst software, further development of project case studies of past company projects and an eagerness to learn about real life business applications of GIS.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
1. Assist Manager of Planning Services with market analyses. a. Utilize ESRI Business Analyst software to create and finalize market analyses for La Macchia Group clients i. Geocode client customer information and utilize it for further analysis ii. Use software to analyze demographic and competitive information as it pertains to client iii. Organize and input client survey information as it relates to study iv. Further develop companys use of ESRI software as it relates to study objectives 2. Assist Manager of Planning Services and Marketing Coordinator in development of project case studies. a. Use GIS software to visually and statistically showcase La Macchia Group project results b. Obtain and organize case study information for various company oriented tasks 3. Explore new applications of how ESRI software can assist the company in continually improving its processes.

Communication Ability: Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Adequate English grammar skills so as explain concepts to other team members via oral and written correspondence. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and work with a wide variety of personnel and respond to questions from other employees of the company.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with ESRI software. The candidate should also have an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Access to an on-site computer with ESRI Business Analyst software will be provided at La Macchia Group.
Education/Experience: Entry Level to 3 Years Relevant Experience Applicant must be actively pursuing or have obtained a major in Geography with an emphasis and interest in human geography (urban, regional and educational). All candidates must have relevant classroom or on the job experience utilizing ESRI software extensively.
