Allah has sent His Prophet with this religion which encompasses both kinds, that is:
fiqh and tasawwuf
/ ibn abd al wahhab Whosoever, without adequate knowledge of Fiqh acquired asawwuf would then turn infidel and inversel! a sinner" He who acquired both became an accomplished believer" /imam malik #ike all other branches of obligator! knowledge of $slam, the attainment of m!stic knowledge is also obligator!" $t pertains to the states of the heart such as sincere trust in A##AH, His fear, and surrender to His Will" /gha%ali Whoever Practises asawwuf Without #earning &acred #aw 'orrupts His Faith, While He Who #earns &acred #aw Without Practising asawwuf 'orrupts Himself" (nl! he Who 'ombines the two proves true" /imam malik he &ufi path consists in cleansing the heart from whatever is other than Allah ) $ concluded that the &ufis are the seekers in Allah *s Wa!, and their conduct is the best conduct, and their wa! is the best wa!, and their manners are the most sanctified" he! have cleaned their hearts from other than Allah and the! have made them as pathwa!s for rivers to run, carr!ing knowledge of Allah "+ ,al-.ha%ali, al /unqidh min al dalal, p" 0102" +asawwuf is one of the latter-da! sciences of the #aw in the $slamic 'ommunit!" he foundation of tasawwuf, however, is ,more ancient, as seen in the fact2 that these folk and their wa! have alwa!s been present among the &alaf and among the most senior of the 'ompanions and the &uccessors, and their wa! is the wa! of truth and guidance"+ ,/uqaddimat ibn 3haldun 4 What Abu Hurairah had learnt, and which he was afraid to disclose, was the names of those !ouths and leaders from 5anu 6ma!!ah - who were beginning to rise to positions of power and authorit! - at whose hands $slam and the /uslims would greatl! suffer" 78efer to Fathul-5aaree of $bn Ha9r ,0/:;;-:;< and 01/0:-012= &ha!kh &aalih ibn >Abdul-?A%ee% al-&ha!kh: +He did not disclose such ahadith concerning these trials and tribulations ,fitnah2, the hadith concerning the censure of 5anu 6ma!!ah, or other ahadith of this nature" And he ,Abu Hurairah2 said the above during the rule of /u?awi!ah,ma! Allah have merc! upon him, said: $n this is a proof for concealing knowledge due to fear of harm or fitnah, in those matters which not ever!one will be able to understand" his is with regards to that which does not require action upon it, nor does it have in it one of the limits from the &hare?ah" he eDamples of this from the 'ompanions are numerous, in respect of them not relating that which did not require action upon it nor was there a need to relate it, or not relating that which the general masses would not be able to comprehend, or that which would cause harm to the one relating or listening to itB especiall! that which is connected to the reports about the h!pocrites or those in authorit!B or those reports which specificall! describe certain sets of people in a bad wa! or in censure of them or curse them"+
