STAYING ON TRACK

In 2013, a train carrying 218 people derailed in Spain, killing 79 and injuring 66
more. Though the trains engineer said he couldnt explain why the accident
occurred, video footage provided answers. The train was going as fast as 119
mph before it hit the deadly curvemore than twice the speed limit for that
section of track.
So it wasnt just the speed that caused the accident. It was the combination of
the speed and the location of the track. The boundary of the speed limit was
created for the protection of the passengers, but the seasoned engineer ignored
it, and it led to tragedy.
In a second recounting of the Ten Commandments , the Lord reminded Moses
and the people of Israel of the importance and protective nature of covenant
boundaries (Deuteronomy 5:1-21) Moses encouraged this new generation to
regard the Law as their own covenant with God. By repeating the Law and
drawing lessons from the previous generations disobedience, Moses message
stressed reverence for God and Gods faithfulness. God had laid down the track
for His people so they wouldnt wreck their lives or lives of others.
Through Jesus, we have become Gods people, and He has written His Word
on our hearts. Lets continue to make Gods Word the guardrail for our lives. It
can keep us on the track of obedience, prevent us from wrecking our lives, and
keep us passionate in our devotion to God. (Copied) --------Roger

FROM THE PASTOR
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND INFORMATION
September 28, 2014
April 8, 2012

In todays lesson, your child will learn that Gods
answer to our sin problem was not a mighty warrior,
but a tiny baby. When Gods people heard about the
Messiah, they expected a mighty king or a warrior.
Instead, God sent a baby who was both God and
man. The tiny baby changed the whole world, and He
shows us that even the smallest of us even kids
can change their world for God.

Pastor Jonathons Word of The Week

Maybe stepping outside of your comfort zone to
obey God seems like too much of a stretch right
now. Keep in mind that although it may seem
impossible, God will never stretch us beyond what
we are capable of in His strengthnot ours. And
when we are willing to be stretched, blessings begin
to flow.
Lord, help me fully trust you with my life and
develop a faith that is willing to stretch for your
sake, and mine. Show me how you can use my life
for your good. In Jesus Name, Amen! (Copied)
