amendment to change in Consignee name in IGM No. 2074420 item no. 1140, 1141, 1142,
1143, 1144 dated 13/12/2013. Shipping line has stated in his letter dated 09/01/13 that the
above shipment was manifested as per data received in system from Port of Loading. Later on
Shipping line received message from their Counter office to correct Consignee name From
Amol Textiles, Address- G23-24, MIDC Kadegaon, Karad Road, Shivajinagar,
Kadegaon, Dist- Sangli-416303, Maharashtra, India. To Narendra Textiles in item no.
1140, Shivam Textiles in item no. 1143, Vikas Textiles in item no. 1144, Jayshree
Textiles in item no. 1142, Shekhar Textiles in item no. 1141, Address- G23-24, MIDC
Kadegaon, Karad Road, Shivajinagar, Kadegaon, Dist- Sangli-416303, Maharashtra,
India, as per Shippers request at Port of Loading. Accordingly, the Steamer Agent M/s. Star
Shipping Services (India) Pvt Ltd. has sought an amendment for Consignee name in IGM
along with following documents.

1. Request Letter from shipping line for amendment dated 09/01/2013
2. Copy of Invoice and Packing list.
3. Copy of IE Code of consignee.
4. Copy of EIR.
5. Explanation letter from shipping line M/s. Star Shipping Services (India) Pvt Ltd.

FINDING
The Steamer Agents Submission and other related documents have been considered. I find
that the Import General Manifest has been filed in the name of M/s. Amol Textiles. Later on
Shipper requested to change The Consignee name From Amol Textiles, Address- G23-24,
MIDC Kadegaon, Karad Road, Shivajinagar, Kadegaon, Dist- Sangli-416303, Maharashtra,
India. To Narendra Textiles in item no. 1140, Shivam Textiles in item no. 1143, Vikas
Textiles in item no. 1144, Jayshree Textiles in item no. 1142, Shekhar Textiles in item no.
1141, Address- G23-24, MIDC Kadegaon, Karad Road, Shivajinagar, Kadegaon, Dist-
Sangli-416303, Maharashtra, India, as per revised BL. The steamer agent now requested for
amendment for change in Consignee name in IGM No. 2074420 item no. 1140, 1141, 1142,
1143, 1144 dated 13/12/2013. Shipping Line has failed to Comply with Customs Procedure
by filing incorrect IGM. Shipping line has requested to waive SCN and also requested not to
issue any P.H for this amendment.

ORDER
In View of the above, I allow this major amendment as per Board circular No. 13,44/2005.
Therefore, I levy a penalty of Rs. (In words Rupees
Under section, 117 read with section 30 of the Customs Act, 1962 on the shipping agent M/s.
Star Shipping Services (India) Pvt Ltd. the same shall be paid within thirty days from the date
of receipt of this order. The amendment sought would be allowed subject to the payment of
the penalty
