Introduction
Augmented reality is a term for a camera enhanced view of a physical real-world environment, where virtual
elements are merged with the real-life scene creating a mixed reality of virtual elements and the real world.
The virtual elements, given their nature, can consist of anything. This could be 3D models, video, web
informationanything. The point here is that your mind is the only boundary.

More formally, Augmented Reality is considered to include the following three characteristics:
1) Combines real and virtual
2) Is interactive in real time
3) Registers in 3-D

Augment refers to the action of adding to something in order to make it more substantial
Real world information improved in some way by the inclusion of computer generated data. Typically done using a
virtual overlay on a real image.
