Statement of Faith

A. The Bible We believe in the scripture of the old and the new testaments as verbally
inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings and that they are of supreme and final
authority in faith and life II Tim 3.16-17; II Pet. 1.19-21

B. The Triune God We believe there is one and only Living God, infinite Spirit, the maker
and supreme ruler of heaven and earth; inexpressible glorious in holiness and worthy of all
possible honor, confidence and love. That in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection and executing
distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption Ex 20.2,3; I Cor. 8.6;Heb.
4.11;Mat 28.19;Jn 10.30

C. The Lord Jesus We believe that Jesus was begotten of the Holy Spirit in a miraculous
manner; born of Mary, a virgin as no other man was ever or can ever be born of woman and
that He is both the Son of God and God the Son Gen 3.15;Isa 7.14;Mat 1.18-25;Lk 1.35;Jn
1.14

D. The Holy Spirit We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person; equal with God the
Father and the Son and of the same nature; that he was active in the creation; that in his
relation to the unbelieving world he restrains the evil one until Gods purpose is fulfilled; that
he convicts of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; that he bears witness to the truth of the
gospel in preaching and testimony; that he is the agent of the new birth; that he seals, baptizes
into, endues, guides, teaches, witnesses sanctifies and helps the believers. Jn 14.16.17;Mat
28.19;Heb 9.14;Jn 14.26;Lk 1.35;Gen 1.1-3;IIThe 2.7

E. Gifts - We believe the Bible disavows the authenticity of the gifts of prophecy, speaking in
tongues, interpretation in tongues, miracles and healing for today and repudiates the
experience-oriented theology. (John 7:39; 14:6, 17, 26; Hebrews 9:14; Acts 1:5; Ephesians
1:13; 1 Corinthians 12:13.

F. Salvation We believe that faith in the Lord Jesus is the only condition of salvation. Acts
16.31; Ro 4.5

G. Ordinances We believe that there are two ordinances given to the church: Baptism and
Lords supper. Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water to show forth in a solemn
emblem of our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior. We believe that the Lord supper
is the commemoration of his death until he comes. Ac 8.36-39;Jn 3.23;Ro 6.3-5;Mat 26.26-
30;ICo 11.23-31

H. Church - We believe the Scriptures teach that the church of Jesus Christ was inaugurated at
Pentecost and must be considered in two aspects: the local church and the church which is
His body. The local church is a congregation of baptized believers through water immersion
associated by a covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the ordinances
of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them
by His Word; that its scriptural officers are pastors sometimes called bishops or elders, and
deacons; whose qualifications, claims, and duties are defined in the epistle of Timothy and
Titus. The church which is His body is the entire company of believers in Christ, whether
Jew or Gentile, regardless of denominational affiliation and present position in heaven or on
earth. Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; Titus 1; Ephesians 1:22-23; Hebrews 12:13.

I. Biblical and Ecclesiastical Separation - We believe the Scriptures teach that the believer
should be separated unto God from the world and from apostasy which includes radicals,
liberals and those who sanction theological compromise. This truth is to be practiced with an
attitude of devotion to God, humility, compassion, and yet with conviction, to create the
proper condition and atmosphere for the main objective, i.e. the salvation of the lost through
the gospel of God. Matthew 10:34-39; Matthew 18:15: Romans 16:17; 1 Corithians 7:13; 2
Corinthians 6:14; 2 Corinthians 11:4; Galatians 1:18-19; 1 Timothy 2:16-18; Titus 3:10; 2
John 9-11

J. Last Things We believe in the personal, visible, pre-tribulation and pre-millennial return of
Christ. Luke12.40;Jn 14.3;IThe 4.16;Isa 32.1;11.4,5;Ps 72.8;Rev 20.1-4
