Note on Leave Rule

There is equal Leave Rules of the members working in COMP.NAME amil!


irres"e#tive of #onfirm$ "robationar! or trainee. Members working in #om"an!
un%er the %ire#t #ontra#t with the #om"an! are also eligible to get same quantum
of leave at "ar with others.
Certain rules are ma%e to monitor leave usage an% also to fa#ilitate members in
its utilisation an% to hel" "ersonnel %e"artment in eas! a%ministration & re#or%
kee"ing of leave$ whi#h are as un%er'
(. Leave will be #re%ite% to the members a##ount onl! on#e in the !ear.
). Leave #re%it will be given in the month of *anuar! of the ea#h !ear for the
"erio% of *anuar! to +e#ember of the "revious !ear base% on the
members working for that "erio%.
,. There are three t!"es of leave vi-. Casual Leave ./ +a!s0$ 1i#k Leave
./+a!s0 an% Earne% Leave .)( +a!s0.
2. All Leave must be san#tione%$ e3#e"t in #ase of me%i#al emergen#ies.
4. Casual Leave an% 1i#k Leave #annot be #ombine% in the same leave
"erio%.
5. Earne% Leave an% Casual #an not be #ombine% in the same leave "erio%.
/. Leave for members u"to 1enior E3e#utives is san#tione% b! res"e#tive
6O+ or above. Leave for members u"to Chief Managers is san#tione% b!
res"e#tive 7eneral Managers 8 un#tional +ire#tors. Leave for 7eneral
Managers 8 un#tional +ire#tors is san#tione% b! the Managing +ire#tor.
9. Casual Leave #an not be taken for more then ) %a!s at a stret#h at an!
one time. All intervening holi%a!s %uring leave "erio% are treate% as
Casual Leave. 6oli%a!s "refi3e% or suffi3e% to Casual Leave will not be
#ounte% as Casual Leave.
:. Casual Leave must be san#tione% at least one #lear working %a! before
availing leave.
(;. Casual Leave #an not be #arrie% over to the ne3t !ear an% su#h unavaile%

((. 1i#k Leave #an be a##umulate% u"to 5; %a!s. Above 5; %a!s 1i#k Leave
will get la"s an% it #annot be en#ashe%.
(). To the e3tent "ossible a member availing 1i#k Leave shall a""l! for su#h
leave an% where not "ossible$ inform b! other means the member whom
he is re"orting to.
(,. 1i#k Leave #an be availe% for a ma3imum of one %a! without "rior
"ermission.
(2. 1i#k leave u"to a ma3imum of , %a!s at a stret#h #an be taken without
me%i#al #ertifi#ate$ be!on% whi#h a me%i#al #ertifi#ate is ne#essar! to
su""ort su#h leave. An su#h #ases$ u"on reBoining %ut!$ CCertifi#ate of
itnessD shall be "ro%u#e% b! the member from Registere% Me%i#al
Pra#titioners. An% an! intervening holi%a!s will be #ounte% as 1i#k Leave.
(4. One %a! of earne% leave shall be #re%ite% to the memberEs a##ount for
ever! (/.4 %a!s worke%. The number so #om"ute% shall be roun%e% off to
the nearest whole number. The number of %a!s worke% in a #alen%ar !ear
#om"rises of a#tual number of %a!s worke% "lus number of weekl! off
%a!s "lus number of National 8 estival holi%a!s "lus number of %a!s of
leave shall not be #ounte% for re#koning the number of %a!s worke%.
(5. Earne% Leave shall be #re%ite% to the memberEs a##ount on the (st
*anuar! of ea#h !ear.
(/. Earne% Leave is meant for rest an% re#u"eration an% not for #asual
absen#e. At #an be a##umulate%.
(9. +uration of Earne% Leave "er s"ell shall not be less than five %a!s an% it
#an be availe% ma3imum in three s"ell %uring the #alen%ar !ear.
(:. An or%er to avail Earne% Leave$ a""li#ation shoul% be ma%e atleast seven
%a!s in a%van#e.
);. Antervening holi%a!s will be #ounte% as "art of earne% leave availe%.
6owever$ "refi3e% 8 suffi3e% holi%a!s will not be #ounte% as "art of earne%
leave availe%.
)(. A member "ro#ee%ing on leave is require% to intimate his leave a%%ress in
the leave a""li#ation when he is going out of station.
)). Earne% Leave #an be en#ashe%$ subBe#t to a ma3imum en#ashment of ,;
%a!s "er #alen%ar !ear$ "rovi%e% at least (; %a!s earne% leave is
available to the memberEs #re%it after en#ashment.
MATERNITY LEAVE

Maternit! Leave "rovi%es leave with "a! to a female member "rior to an%
after #onfinement.
At #overs birth of #hil% as well as the unfortunate event of a mis#arriage.
Ea#h female member$ on a""li#ation is grante% maternit! leave for ()
weeks . i.e. 92 %a!s0 %uring #onfinement. The leave a""li#ation shoul% be
su""orte% b! a #ertifi#ate issue% b! a Registere% Me%i#al Pra#titioner.
