Advanced Certificate in Business Analysis (ACBA) is of one year duration with classroom & online training only on weekends. This
course is designed to educate and develop managers who can effectively manage the planning, design, selection,
implementation, use and administration of emerging and converging information and communication technologies. The
program curriculum provides participants with the technical & management knowledge and skills needed to effectively integrate
people, information & communication technologies and business processes in support of organizational strategic goals.
Certified Business Analysis (CBA) is of six weeks duration with classroom training only on weekends. This course involves theory
and practical of Business Analysis Role. It helps participants gain complete insight into the role of Business Analysis and prepares
them to join any company as a fresh yet knowledgeable Business Analyst.
Although IT Management is an industry term whereby all the technology resources of a firm are managed in accordance with its
needs and priorities. We believe that IT management goes beyond traditional terminologies, as the IT industry is experiencing
new complexities, sophistications drastically. Unlike olden days, when most of the systems would work on independent or
standalone machine, which later moved to manage the data and assimilate few systems in the organization, in recent times, it
has reached to highly integrated environment that caters to the need of the business as well as technical team members to
achieve the organizational goal and objective.
Business analysis is the discipline of identifying business needs and
determining solutions to business problems. These solutions may
include improvement of business processes, accommodating/
incorporating new processes or strategic planning and policy
development. The person who performs this role of identification
and determination is called a business analyst or BA.
The role of business analysts goes beyond the requirement
management, to cater to the need of client where the relationship
has been changed from client-vendor to collaborating partners.
Hence, it brings more significance to this role by understanding
client needs, eliciting the requirements and recommending
solutions.
This role has emerged with evolution of software engineering and rise of RUP (Rational Unified Process) to mitigate risk in project
management. Clients never had the time to make the technical team understand how business operations, processes,
compliances and competitors work; nor did the project managers had time to make business people understand how
technology worked. Thus role of a BA actually fills this gap & makes the project successful.
In small change driven project or maintenance project using 'Agile' methodologies, business analysts are expected to wear
multiple hats such as Business Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst or Project Manager or UAT experts. Thus the Business Analysts
may be expected to have these additional skills in their kitty to increase the acceptability and faster advancement in their career.
In addition, these additional skills also facilitate the Business analysts to coordinate with other technical team members in an
effective manner as they can communicate in same language.
