Internationally, Vietnam has a diplomatic relationship with around 160 countries and has a trade link with over 150 countries. 8.8% of Vietnams imports is refined petroleum, 3.8% are Telephones, 3.3% for Integrated Circuits, Hot Rolled Iron at 2% and Light Rubberized Knitted Fabric at 1.7%. 28% of the products imported come from China, 15% brought from South Korea, 9.5% from Japan, 5.9% from Singapore leaving 1.3% of its imports from Australia. 2.9% of Vietnams exports is rice earning them an average of 3.3 billion a year, but coffee earned the country more money for the country (3.1%) earning them 3.5 billion and leather footwear at 4%. 16% of the products exported goes to the U.S, 13% bought by Japan, sending 12% to China, 5.7% to Germany and 2.8% to Australia.
Australia also exports and imports with many countries, since federation, Australia started to export and import with closer countries for example, countries in Asia such as Japan rather than the UK. Australias main trading partners are Japan, China the U.S, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand. Australia mainly exports coal, natural gas (to create electricity), wheat and livestock which is a big business in Australia.

Vietnam has many natural resources such as timber, energy (oil, natural gas, coal and hydropower which is electricity created by moving water), minerals such as iron, copper and gold. Australia also has similar resources and exports the products such as oil, natural gas, coal, uranium and timber. Health and Security Health and Education In Vietnam the risk of catching a disease is very high. A common disease is Malaria caused by being bitten by a female Plasmodium vivax. 300 million people are infected every year. The ways to realise if someone has Malaria is a high fever, has painful headaches, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and confusion. To avoid getting this disease is to wear long sleeves and long pants, wear a mosquito net when sleeping, covering the air vent (of the air conditioner) with a mosquito net and wear mosquito repellent with DEET. The Vietnamese government spends 6.6% of the economy on health (hospitals, medical supplies, better education), 95% of the total population is able to access clean, fresh water while 5% are not. 93.4% of the population is able to read and write (15 and over), 95.4% of men is literate and 91.4% of women).
Security and Military Vietnam is a safe country with hardly any violent crimes and terrorist threats are not common. All over Vietnam, the most common items for thieves (mostly motorcyclist) steal wallets, cameras and anything that is worth a lot of money from people at restaurants and shopping centres when the valuable item is not properly being monitored. In Vietnam it is mandatory for males aged 18-25 to help in voluntary military services. The safest way to travel is by pedicabs.
