Question no #1
Technical writing is as factual as are
news report, magazines and radio, television report. Do the
same ethical considerations apply for all type of Medias? If
there are differences explain you’re self?
Radio example
I listened FM 106.2 on date 19-02-
2009 at 4:35 pm I heard the zong commercial in which they
informed about new call rates (65 paisa).but they do not
told that either these call rate are for min. or for 30 sec. and
also could not informed that government tax also apply so
that why this is unethically. That is responsibility of
company and media.
Television example
On 22-02-2009 when I was
watching PTV channel I saw a commercial of fair & lovely
in which they told about the advantages of fair & lovely by
using this cream color of skin is turn change from black
into white. They show with the help of digital graphic or
some kind of make up but in fact they could not do so. So
that why this is purely unethical they informed wrong
information to the people due to this many people waste
their money and feel dishearten. Fig. attached
Magazines example
The above picture is obtained from Sunday magazine of
Nawai waqt group of Pakistan. They don’t inform clearly
about offer. According to me in this add unethical thing is
that these free mints apply from mobilink to mobilink .
They inform but in small font at bottom that most important
and another thing expiry date of free mints is five to ten
days is also in very small font so there is unethically.
Because most of the people could not read this small font at
bottom so that is responsibility of company told clearly
about tax and expiry date and all term & condition apply.

Question no # 2
Give example (2) of ethically
flowed communication this could include poor written
warranties which are to difficult to understand or
dangerous warning caution, which don’t clearly
identify.
Example #1
When I purchased dell laptop I don’t
know about warranty process. The hidden thing is that,
dell is an international company but they do business
globally the policy of warranty claim is that to send
laptop to the country where laptop is manufacture. If
you want repair laptop in your country then in that
situation the warranty card come in packing is not
acceptable, get a new warranty card from the
shopkeeper cost Rs. 7000. According to me this is
unethically, because if they doing there business
globally they is the responsibility of the company to
provide warranty claim procedure in the country where
there products sold.
Another thing from same products is not guide all the
accessories the laptop have e.g. in dell 1535 there is
mobile sim place but they don’t guide about how can we
use this facility.
Another example from same products is poor statement
about warning and in small font e.g. they write on
charger “risk of electric shock” we could not
understand clearly what type of risk they mean? How
can they risk may come? What type of mistake we do
due to this electric shock can get?

Example # 2
The unethical thing is that when this type of tablets we
commonly used when we suffer from head pain for
fever. We buy this type of product directly from
medical store without consult with doctor so they need
to provide a hand notes and in advertisement, who can
use this products age limits and other precaution.
