Ban post poll alliance:
The electorate in India have been
taken for a ride since we went
republic by these political parties
by getting into post poll alliance.
When an electorate casts his / her
vote he / she does so by taking into
consideration the respective
Political Party''s manifesto,
declarations and promises they make
to the electorate before we cast our
vote. The voters cast their vote
based on these assumptions and it is
nothing but a breach of trust
amounting to forgery for these
parties to change their stands and
alliances after we cast the vote in
their favour.
The Election Commission must ban
this practice of the Political
Parties and make them accountable
for their promises and manifestos
based on which they seek our votes.
Often an argument is placed by these
Parties that this is necessary to
ensure that public money is not
spent again for fresh elections if
the mandate is divided however we
feel this argument is very lame and
senseless for a nation where the
same Political Parties taking
advantage of these situations
misutilise tax payers money for
buying & selling MPs / MLA''s and
then go on to make huge scams
running into billions of rupees.
I firmly believe that if the post
poll alliance is banned then the
same Political Parties shall be
forced to make realistic manifestos
and shall be accountable to every
promise they make to the electorate
before every election.
Hence I appeal as responsible
citizens of India to stop this
malpractice and forgery and get a
cleaner electoral / political system
in place.
It is further requested that people
should have right to recall as they
have right to vote if elected
