6.1.3 Hardware configuration when the tool STARTER is used

The Siemens drive configuration tool STARTER provides the possibility to configure
frequency converters and other drive controllers via the DP interface of the S7 CPU from
your engineering station. In order to grant access to the converters you have to use a
different STEP 7 hardware configuration.

Select the object SINAMICS G130 directly out of the folder SINAMICS ->SINAMICS
G130 and connect it to your DP mastersystem :

After connecting the SINAMICS object to your DP mastersystem the following configuration
dialogs will appear. If not so, you have presumably selected the DP slave from the wrong
object folder (The embedding of the GSD type files as well as the configuration tool
STARTER creates a folder named SINAMICS in the hardware catalogue).
If the frequency converter should be configured via STARTER, it is essential to use the
correct object out of the hardware catalogue.

Then open the alarm dialog.

The alarm dialog is used to configure the alarms of the block. You have to define the
additional text for each of the 16 alarms, according to the CEMAT Engeering rules use
the block comment.

Now close the alarm dialog and the property window.
Within the Process Object View this work (copy the block comment) could be easily done in
one step for all 16 messages.

Since Cemat V7.1 SP1 the block C_SINA doesn't need the adapter block C_APADT any
more. As usual in Cemat, the block C_SINA could connected via GR_LINK1, GR_LINK2 or
MUX_LINK to his groups and routes from the CEMAT library.

Change the parameters B_ADDR_I and B_ADDR_Q referring to your hardware
configuration. Make all necessary connections to the function block according to your project
requirements.
After compiling and download of the program changes and the necessary adjustments at the
Siemens SINAMICS system the communication between the PLC and the Siemens
SINAMICS system should work.
In order to generate the OS variables please compile the changes of your WinCC project.

7 Settings at the SINAMICS frequency converter

7.1 Setting of the DP-slave address

The DP-slave address may be set by using the DIP-switch at the Profibus communication
module or by changing the parameter P0918. The address has to be the same that is
configured in the STEP7 hardware configuration. Settings of the parameter P0918 do only
work when the DIP-switch remains in the default setting, that means the address of the
switch is set to 0. A change of the DIP-switch setting will be executed after the return of the
power supply of the Profibus communication module and will overwrite the parameter P0918.
