Sixth International Conference on Recent Developments in Fluid Mechanics

Jointly Organized by School of Natural Sciences (SNS), NUST and Fluid Mechanics
Group, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan
Fluid Mechanics is one of the most important subjects of human interest. To be m
ore specific, it encompasses aerodynamics, gas dynamics, computational fluid dy
namics (CFD), convection heat transfer, flows of turbomachinery, acoustics, biof
luids, oceanography, meteorology, glaciology, geomagnetism, continental drift, m
antel convection, atmospheric dynamics, wind engineering and the dynamics of mul
ti-phase flows. It is now well-known that modern design of aircraft, spacecraft,
automobiles, ships, land and marine structures, power and propulsion systems et
c is not possible without knowledge of relevant fluid mechanics.
This conference provides a forum for specialists in theoretical and computationa
l fluid dynamics from all corners of the globe to present their latest progress
and developments in the field. This conference brings together wide range of res
earch areas from narrow fundamental work to import applications such as in solar
energy generation, transportation, nuclear engineering, space technology, manuf
acturing etc. The influential topics will cover a wide spectrum of subjects incl
uding peristalsis, blood flow, gliding motility of bacteria, mathematical modeli
ng, mathematical methods, industrial and environmental heat and mass transfer, d
eformable porous media, MHD, rheology and the mechanics of the porous substrate.
Emphasis will be given to the original research contribution on mathematical mo
deling, analytical approaches and numerical techniques, simulations for more acc
urate descriptions, predictions, experimental observations and applications of n
onlinear phenomena in science and engineering. The conference will provide a pla
ce to researchers for the rapid exchange of ideas and techniques in nonlinear sc
ience and complexity. It will be a source of motivation for young scientists and
research students to interact with leading authorities in the subject. The conf
erence will provide a bridge between R & D scientists and the university teacher
s for a better and homogenous growth of the subject in the country.
