EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Team Building is widely used, as a mean of strengthening many aspects in an
individual that is very helpful in working in a group, thus it creates an efficient group or
better yet, a society. A team is defined as a group of people working towards a common
goal. 'Team Building' is the process of enabling that group of people to reach their goal.
Activities involve can enhances interpersonal and intrapersonal in every individual,
furthermore, it can develop the sense of leadership everyone has.
Team Building activities are stimulating problem solving tasks designed to help
group members develop their capacity to work effectively together. To elaborate more
initiative tasks can involve ropes courses, night-time activities and exercises lasting over
several days. These activities are often used in meetings, presentation, and workshop,
training seminars, education programs, corporate training with colleges, universities and
institute like Technological Institute of the Philippines, sports teams, youth work and in
the therapeutic and correctional settings. Team Building exercises can be adapted for
virtually and setting, young or old, large or small and across cultures.
Much depends on the role played by a facilitator. Different team building activities
facilitated in different ways with different groups can and will lead to a variety of different
experiences and different outcome. In the hands of an excellent facilitator, even the
simplest game can become significant experience for the participant like the BSA
students in T.I.P; with a poor instructor, even with the well-designed activity can go
awry.
The most important part of having team building is participants reflection and
discussion about the activity, how they approached the situation and possible points of
learning.
