Why do you think the region is plagued by conflict?


– I believe the region is plagued with conflict because of the
difference in cultures and the different beliefs.

– The countries that define this region are Cyprus, the Asian
part of Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, the West Bank and
Gaza, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, United
Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, and Libya.

Why are there tensions between Israel and the Arabs?


– There are tensions between the Israeli and Arabs because of
the political, strategic, and economic interests of the areas of
great power, also the tensions have grown and become more
complicated since it began.

– The largest supplier of weapons in Iraq during the conflict was
the Soviet Union. (Iran got most of it’s weapons from North
Korea, and China.)
