ASKANCE FROM THEIR CULTURE. To
assess the impact of foreign cultures on
Pakistan youth and the role of media, IT, etc.
on it. Previous literatures was reviewed. Data
collection through a questionnaires in a survey
process. Results showed that majority of
respondents agreed that there is a huge impact
of foreign cultures on our youth. The major
reason is our media. The whole society should
take measures to promote Pakistani culture.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
We are heartily thankful to our seniors and
friends for their cooperation and guidance in
our research on topic. We are very grateful to
our teacher Mrs. Sadia Khan for her useful
ideas related to our research. Special thanks for
the respondents who participated in our
research and give us appropriate information to
achieve the present study.

CONCLUSION:
After a detailed analysis and discussion we
concluded that our youth is going away from
their culture and losing its identity. The research
shows that the trend of adopting foreign culture
among the youth of Pakistan is immense and
increasing very swiftly day by day. Today there
is a rule of mass media on the society, which pro-
mote foreign culture and exploit Pakistani
culture. Print media also highlighting foreign cul-
ture in the newspapers. Modern technologies
played a great role in askance of youth from
culture.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
PEMRA (Pakistan Electronic Media
Regulatory Authority) should restrict the
media to ban Indian and Turkish channels.
There should be a Cultural Week in
every educational institution.
TV channels should improve the quality of
their entertainments.
Every Pakistani should prefer Urdu
language in usual conversation.
Government, parents, teachers and educa-
tional institutes should teach our young
generation about culture and Islam.

Youth has been identified as the most
influenced social group by the globalization
especially cultural globalization. In Pakistan
estimated youth is around 83 million of which
41 million are between ages of fifteen to twenty
nine years and are highly influenced by the
cultural globalization and moving away from its
own culture day by day. Our youth is going
away from our social and moral values. This has
resulted in cultural and social chaos. It has
become the need of the hour to carefully
analyze worsen moral condition of our youth.
INTRODUCTION:
Qurrat-ul-Ain (1998) explained that Media
and TV entertainments are ruling over the
society and giving a worse effect on our cul-
ture. The most affected class is our young
generation that adopts a lot of immoral habits
from television.
Thussu (2000) stated that Internationally,
despite a counter flow of cultural products, as
represented by the network such as Zee, US-
Led western media domination has not dimin-
ished.
Al-Karim Datoo (2010) wrote that In order to
overcome values paradoxes, cultural globali-
zation is necessary. Researches showed that
the youth agency is reconstructing media to
use the medium to carry out its own projects
of identity which results in disjuncture.
Shaiza Kiran (2012) described that The basic
reasons that deviate the youth from its
culture is satellite and cable network. Our
youth is inspired by foreign (i.e. Indian and
western) languages, dressings, fashions, life-
styles, events and festvals. This thing exploits
our traditons and norms. Media should im-
prove the quality of their content to bring
positvity in our youth.

LITERATURE REVIEW:
The analysis of the survey gives the following
results:
Pakistani youth is not representng its culture.
Modern technology is taking away our youth
from its culture.
Early educaton is failed to make youth
civilized.
Religion is losing its ground in the modern
world.
Media is not playing any role to promote
Pakistani culture, in fact it is promotng
foreign cultures (i.e. Indian ,Western &
Turkish culture)
Our culture is not the hindrance in our
progress.
Patriotsm promotes culture but unfortunately
our all youths are not patriotc, they are
materialistc
Company and society are very infuental on
the thoughts of young generaton.
Our youth has strongly infuenced by Indian
and western culture.
The whole society should work collectvely to
promote the culture and make youth aware
about it .
DISCUSSION:
At Algiers (1973), non-aligned summit
described that Imperialism is not restricted
to the political and economic domains, but
social and cultural areas as well, imposing
there by a foreign ideological influence on
the people of the developing world
MacBride Commission (1980) described
that Cultural identity jeopardized by the
overpowering impact on and the assimila-
tion of some dominant cultures, although
these nations may well be the successors of
more primitive and richer culture
