SUMMARY

I am best known for my attention to details, being goal orientated, and making the complex
understandable at many levels.

For the past several years I have been committed to ensuring a safe healthy environment for our
employees at Triangle Transit. During this time Triangle Transit has been recognized by NCDOL as a
Safety Star site. To accomplish this level of recognition oversight is necessary, and the cooperation
of every employee.

I have created a total building and equipment Preventative Maintenance and inspection system which
have been borrowed by other transit companies and received rave reviews in our last triennial
inspection by the FTA. However issues do crop up even with the best oversight. I quickly work with all
key team members from the director to the bus driver or service technician to resolve these issues in
a timely manner in such a way not to impact service.

Over the years there have been many construction projects I coordinated and oversaw such as
repaving the bus parking lot, installation of two new in-ground bus lifts to ensure these projects were
on time and on budget as well as performed in compliance with all permits, and OSHA applicable
rules. I am also key in creating the scope of work for janitorial, HVAC maintenance, petroleum
product purchases, security and other contracts we bid annually.

I have often been called a jack of all trades being able to perform carpentry, electrical repair,
plumbing repair, and welding.

A transit agency holds a lot of hazardous chemicals and waste. Our Safety Data Sheets (SDS) files
prior to my arrival were only in print form. I have also created an easily accessible electronic database
for our 10 volumes of SDS.

I created, and present 4 levels of SDS training for employees of Triangle Transit Annually. Training
from top management to our spill response team and even bus operators is provided, and required by
OSHA. Additionally I started monthly standup meetings to cover safety with our most at risk
employees, the maintenance department. The reason I created this short meeting was to give
everyone a gentle reminder of safety in the workplace and make safety a current discussion in their
memories.

I am committed to the safety and health of employees and visitors. I do all I can to maintain and
improve comfort, productivity and safety every day.

I am known for my ability to work diligently with other team members. My coworkers and supervisors
have adapted the opinion that: Jim can do anything, its amazing

The hi ghest praise I have recei ved came from a manager I hold in hi gh regard to this
day. Jim is a ver y posi ti ve team pl ayer who contributes freel y and shares his
knowl edge wi th peopl e easi l y. He proved himself i n many of our proj ects as being a
strong dri ver who gets results through great team leadershi p.

If I were to wish for a legacy it would to be known for making the workplace better for everyone who
enters our doors, employees and visitors alike.
Maintain multiple sites owned and operated for Triangle Transit.
Being able to simply go home knowing I made a difference every day and everyone I worked with
accomplished their goals is a great goal and accomplishment.
