Course Description:

The architecture comprehensive course provides an opportunity for each student to show evidence
of his or her ability to synthesize information through learning acquired from the following subject
areas: Theory of Architecture; History of Architecture; Architectural Interiors, Building Technology;
Building Utilities; Urban Planning; Architectural Design; Engineering Sciences; and Professional Practice.

Course Intended
Learning Outcomes
This course serves as an assessment tool for each students ability to synthesize information
through acquired learning with focus on professional subject areas until the fourth year level.

After completing this course, STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO:

1. analytically relate history and theories of architecture, technologies and human
sciences to current issues on development;
2. critically understand the fundamentals of building systems and utilities;
3. effectively apply the rudiments of professional practice; and
4. Exhibit evidence of his or her profound understanding of architecture through
knowledge acquired during the course of study resulting in passing the
comprehensive examinations given after each module.
