Well Regularity and Intervention Study for Johan Sverdrup Development.
Operational well risk assessment for field development modelled on ExproSoft
proprietary FieldSim package for OPEX analysis and well production availability.
Objective of study was to estimate the generic well design intervention requirements
over the lifespan of the field.
Analysis was carried out on well level, platform level and subsea level.
The concept case well intervention strategies were modelled and analysed for purpose
of comparing development options on basis of well intervention requirement, OPEX
and well availability.
Statoil ASA, Project member 06.2013 - 07.2013
Intervention frequency, OPEX and Availability estimates for Johan Sverdrup Well Designs
updated to DG2.
The project being in DG2 phase, this was a concept selection study based on results
defined in DG1 study.
The study cases designed and analysed for further concept selection were:
- Platform Gas-lifted OP with 20 year lifetime
- Subsea gas-lifted OP with 20 year lifetime & Vertical Xmas tree
- Platform WI with 15 year lifetime
- Subsea WAG injector with 15 year lifetime & Vertical Xmas tree
- Subsea WAG injector with 15 year lifetime & Horizontal Xmas tree
The operational performance was analysed with FieldSim proprietary software
package which is tailor made for simulating and predicting operating expenditures and
well zonal production availability.

PROJECT WORK at OGDCL, Pakistan 2004-2008
I worked on various small and large projects for the company mostly involving design and
hydraulic analysis of well head systems, flow lines and basic surface facilities as per standard
practices. This includes procurement and installation of:
- Piping (ASTM B31.6)
- Pipelines (ASTM B31.8)
- Valves and fittings (API6D)
- Separators (ASME sec. VIII)
- Pumps (API 610)
- Compressors (API 11P)
Designed and coordinated construction of crude storage tanks (API 650).
Design and construction of Fire Safety Systems on field locations including preparing
specifications for pumps (NFPA 20) and fire-fighting vehicles (NFPA1901).
Worked on production optimization projects involving re-designs of gas gathering
systems and modification of gas pipelines.
Factory assessment tests, field inspections and logistics control.
