The structural members required for the 2 nos. lean-to roof in Radial Tyre Plant and 2 nos. lean-
to roof in Easy Tyre Plant are yet to be produced in the KIRBY factory. KIRBY commits to

manufacture them and bring them to site on 7 Dec. 09. Any delay in erecting lean-to portion will
further delay the roofing in the contiguous area in the main building (18 m. x 9 m.)

In the Progress Review Meeting held on 26 Nov. 09, NCCL committed to mobilise their
equipment for VDF on 28, 29 and 30 Nov. 09 and start work on 1 Dec. 09. The equipment have AMBER NCCL
been mobilised but the work has not commenced.
A recent communication from the architect instructing KIRBY to completely change the
sequence of wall and roof sheeting even in areas where work has already been

completed could seriously impact the end date of the entire project. This could also
impact the VDF work as a water-tight roof is a requirement for commencing this activity.
Area handing over to NCCL for construction of 163.80 m. of compound wall on Western
boundary was done on 6 Oct. 09. Neighbouring farmer on Western side who had cultivated in

land which was later purchased by MRF wants work to be executed after harvest of his crops.
NCCL has been prevented by the farmer from entering the area.
RISKS CRITICALITY RESPONSIBILITY SUGGESTED MITIGATION PLAN
Shortage of building materials like cement, sand and aggregate during the execution of vacuum NCCL to stock sufficient quantities of materials required for VDF. If

KEY EXECUTION CONCERNS/CHALLENGE
Location Description of concern/challenge
Close coordination between NCCL and KIRBY to be done as they are both working in Zone 1.
Changes in location of machinery after excavation of foundation pits could reduce the speed of work.
Poor supervision by Kirby of the execution and painting works due to the absence of dedicated site supervisors for each of the building units.
RADIAL TYRE PLANT
The quality of paint application is very poor. Missed out patches, paint peeling off, improper surface preperation, improper material handling, improper mixing of
paint which results in different shade of paint while doing the correction works are causing unnessary delay due to rework.
Details of Creel Room yet to be received. Concreting of nearby machine foundation on hold. This could delay the VDF in this area.
Bolts tightening at supports to be done immediately after erection of primary members.

Delay in removal of construction debris and levelling of ground next to building by NCCL could lead to delay in wall cladding by KIRBY.
Poor supervision by Kirby of the execution and painting works due to the absence of dedicated site supervisors for each of the building units.
EASY TYRE PLANT
The quality of paint application is very poor. Missed out patches, paint peeling off, improper surface preperation, improper material handlign, improper mixing of
paint which results in different shade of paint while doing the correction works are causing unnessary delay due to rework.
Slow progress of work by KIRBY could lead to them missing even the latest dates committed by them.
Frequent changes in design requiring alteration or replacement of fabricated strucutural members could lead to delays.
BANBURY (new)
Dealy in concreting of walls of DCV pit could lead to delay in work of back filling.
RM Godown (new)
On western side the neighbour is not permitting NCCL to continue work beyond 123 m. chainage as his crops are in the way of the proposed compound wall.
Compound Wall
On parts of northern side and on eastern side joint survey to be done with neighbours.Permission to be obtained to work from their side.
