Welcome to Cedar Church! This morning, Pastor Steve continues
a sermon series called Ecclesiastes: The Search for Meaning. In
the evening he continues the sermon series on renewal, revival &
reformation called We Are Family.

OFFERING

Next Sunday Lords Supper & Benevolent Offering - We will
celebrate the Lords Supper next Sunday morning. Our benevolent
offering will be received next Sunday during both services for
Jehovah Jireh. Jehovah-J ireh Ministries is a tangible expression
of God's love and provision. Located in Forest Grove, they
currently provide free food and clothing, as well as Christian love
and encouragement, to approximately 175 families each week.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sunday School - No Sunday School today. Please enjoy an
extended time of fellowship! Sign up today for one of our fall
small groups which begin September 14.

Church Bonfire - Join us for a bonfire, wagon ride
and apple picking at the Weiss Family Orchard
(1126 Byron Road SW Byron Center MI 49513),
September 12, 7pm. Enjoy an Apple Sauce and
S'mores Bar along with an apple cider, hot
chocolate and decaf cafe. Sign up at the table

Fellowship Lunch Next week is our monthly fellowship lunch
following the Sunday school hour. Please bring a main dish, a side
dish and your own place settings.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Youth Group Kickoff All Jr. and Sr. High students are invited
to a youth group kickoff on Sunday, September 21
st
from7 8:45
PM at the home of Bill and Deb Grysen. Food and refreshments
will be served. Come celebrate that a great new year is coming!

Calling all Smiling Faces! The facility deacons want you to help
at Cedar Church with additional new greeter opportunities for the
(a) outside sidewalk and (2) indoor hallways, in addition to our
fine front door greeters. We are excited about the elders call for
renewal, revival and reformation at church and beyond! You can
help the facility deacons see our church-wide practice of
friendship, fellowship and hospitality be so enlarged by the Holy
Spirit that he radically draws people nearer to Christ! Please see

20142015 Cedar Womens Ministry This September, we are
excited that our Cedar Womens Ministry will re-launch for the
new year. Are you interested in using your gifts, skills and
passions to serve our church family here at Cedar? If so, please

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Simply Give - The Jenison Meijer Store will be doing their
Simply Give campaign August 3 September 27 to benefit the
Hudsonville Love INC food pantries. Customers may pick up their
Simply Give card at Love INC, Loves Treasures, the Outback
Store, or the Jenison Meijer and take it to the Jenison Meijer
cashier. They will scan the card and you will be donating $10 per
card to benefit the Love INC food pantries. Your donation is

Volunteers Needed at Jehovah Jireh - Jehovah J ireh Ministries
is looking for helpers on Tuesday afternoons to prep for
distribution and helpers during distribution on Wednesday
afternoon. We also need receptionists to help with Saturday
morning distribution. Some Spanish is helpful. Please contact J im
at 896-1570 or jjmjamestown@att.net.

Community Give Fest - This September Cedar Church would like
to join with the Ottawa County Department of Public Health in
partnership with 5 community pantries, including LOVE INC, in
the first ever healthy food drive in Ottawa County called the
Community Give Fest. The goal of this food drive is to increase
the amount of healthier food donations to local food pantries in
order to provide nutritious food choices for those whose means are
limited. Food will be collected during the month of September and
delivered by the youth group at the end of the month. If you would
like to donate, please place your items in a grocery bag inside the
designated box in the foyer. See the insert in todays bulletin for
more details.

Nursery
Childcare is available near the
entrance of the gymnasium for
children 0-3 years old, but
children of all ages are always
welcome in the worship service.

Coffee Break
After the morning worship, please
join us in the gymfor coffee and
refreshments.

Kids Break
After morning worship, all kids
(Preschool thru 6th grade) are
invited to the orchestra roomfor
snacks and fun songs.

Sunday School
