4.1.6.3 RETA AISG Optional (Through TRDU AISG only)
The RETA permits the remote variable electrical tilting of cabinet
antennae for operating and optimizing the UMTS network. It is
composed of one CCU (Central Control Unit) located inside the cabinet
and other devices located outside the cabinet, one or several RCU
(Remote Control Unit),
The CCU controls one or several RCU. It provides the power for the
connected devices (RCU) and handles alarming.
The RCU or RCU Slim is a remote controlled motor. It is mounted on
the antenna and adjusts the electrical downtilt angle.
The RCU can be connected to daisy chain, no need to use a splitter.
The CCU managed the entire AISG network. It is installed in 9312
Compact OD user rack. It is connected to node B system to the xCCMu
module (in Compact) via Ethernet 10base T link (Site LAN).
The CCU is powered by DC -48V through USER ICO. It provides 3
RS485 AISG outputs to AISG antenna network via TRDU AISG and
control cables.
Some alarms coming from the CCU are transmitted to the node B via C-
USER ICO (User alarms).
The RET solution proposed only in case of co-localization of 9312
Compact OD.
Other kits constituting the global RET system (TMA AISG, RCU) are
ordering in ship loose.
TMA AISG should be used for the RETA solution (+24V)

4.2 9312 Compact OD Power Requirements
This chapter describe the power characteristics and requirements for
9312 Compact OD, currently this 9312 Compact OD is proposed only
in one variant AC.
4.2.1 AC Voltage Range
The 9312 Compact OD outdoor AC only cabinet is powered from one
of the following power supply networks:
230VAC, single phase, Two wires (Phase, Neutral) and protective
earth (180/264VAC 22%/+15%)
120/240VAC, Split phase US, Three wires (Phase 1, Phase 2, Neutral)
and protective earth (180/264VAC 22%/+15%)
The AC power networks shall be TT or TN-S. However, the cabinet
shall suffer no irreversible damage when it is wrongfully connected to
an IT or TN-C power network.
The cabinet operate at full performances across the voltage range
[180V; 264V] and the frequency range [45Hz; 65Hz].
4.2.2 AC Consumption of 9312 Compact OD
Below some examples of power consumptions and battery backup time
in function of some configurations (xCEM-u, xCCM-u and TRDU 40W
2100Mhz)
Figure 13 DC Power Consumption and BBUP Time (Compact) with TRDU 40W
Note: Typical Power consumptions provided assume external
temperature at 25C, maximum assume in all the temperature

In case batteries are charging, the max DC power consumption is
1600W with one rectifier or 2000W when the configuration is equipped
with 2 rectifiers, thanks to the input current limitation.
In case heaters are on (during the cold start up or when temperature is
lower than 0C and equipment power consumption is lower than 800W),
the Max DC power consumption is 800W (cf Environmental cooling
system chapter).
The power supply consumption, based on the TRDU output power and
some measurements, is the following (Figures have to be confirmed
with the serial production):

4.3 Site Requirements
4.3.1 Site Access
Once a site has been selected, access conditions should be evaluated to
determine whether the cabinet should be delivered populated (easy-
access site) or depopulated (difficult-access site).
The access conditions must comply with cabinet dimensions and the
available moving equipment.
The packaging can be removed to get over an obstacle (door or
staircase...) but keep some protection of the 9312 Compact OD
(Antistatic bag or vapor barrier or blanket...)
4.3.1.1 Easy Access Site Characteristics
The site access conditions allow the mechanical handling of a
populated cabinet throughout the distance separating the delivery
point from the mounting location without manual carrying.
The mechanical means used to carry and/or hoist the fully populated
cabinet (e.g. dolly system, elevator, etc) must be qualified to bear the
fully populated cabinet weight in compliance with standard security
requirements.
4.3.1.2 Difficult Access Site Characteristics
For this type of site, mechanical means cannot cover the entire
delivery to mounting location distance; part of the way (as small as it
might be) requires manual carrying. As a consequence, the cabinet
can be depopulated to reduce its weight.
Even though the cabinet can be carried manually, the maximum use
of mechanical means is encouraged to enhance the safety and security
of both staff and equipment.
4.3.2 Cabinet Handling
The 9312 Compact OD cabinets are delivered upright with a corrugated
cardboard sleeve on a wooden pallet in case of road transport. They are
delivered lying in plywood crates in case of air and sea transports. In all
cases, the specific packing allows their handling by means of a fork-lift
truck.
The equipment should be unpacked as close as possible to their precise
mounting location.
The path from the delivery point to the mounting location should be
clear of any obstacles.

Note: The Handle Extractor is now classified as a separate tool, and will
not delivered with the node B (3JR08430AA)
4.3.2.1 Lifting
The populated cabinet must be handled with mechanical devices (the
cabinet may only be guided manually during lift-off or during final
positioning, provided that basic safety rules are observed by the
personnel).
The cabinets are hoisted with 4 lifting eyes M12 type associated with a
spacer, by a lifting vehicle suited to the cabinet weight and to the site
characteristics (height, jib).
Note: This equipment should be lifted using 4 (four) lifting ring sets.
Four sets but these are NOT delivered with the Node B. (A lifting
ring set comprises 1 (one) lifting ring 1AD011980007 + 1 (one)
spacer 1AD003950005).
Since the hoisting operation with a lifting vehicle is designed to position
the cabinet directly on its mounting support, the access conditions of the
lifting vehicle are extremely important and obviously, the mounting
support, if needed, should be installed before hand.
In case of outdoor hoisting with a jib crane, the parameters to take into
account are:
Floor mechanical resistance.
Height of the building.
Width of the building.
Width of the street.
Width of pavements / sidewalks.
Natural obstacles.
Safety requirements for the hoisting operation.
All other handling methods must be specified and validated if required
by the project.
A specific manual moving by 4 installers (mover profile) or a specific
mechanical moving by 2 installers means is needed to install this 9312
Compact OD.
The empty cabinet can be carried by 2 installers (mover profile).

4.3.2.2 Horizontal Moving
A standard forklift/dolly is used to move the cabinet, secured to its
wooden pallet.
The path should be clear of obstacles (gravel, cable way, conduits...).
In case of flat roof, the driving path must be prepared to avoid damage
to original supporting surfaces, in terms of terrace floor mechanical
resistance and waterproofing.
4.3.2.3 Moving a Depopulated Cabinet
The access to reach the building entrance from the truck should respect
the following minimum dimensions given in the Table 5 below.:
Table 5 Access Within the Building
N Layout Height Width Comment
A Doors 1.80 m (5.9 ft.) 0.90 m (2.95 ft.)

4.3.3 Floor
The 9312 Compact OD cabinet can be installed either on a concrete
floor or on a raised floor.
The floor covering must be antistatic (about 1MOhms) or the technician
must use an antistatic bracelet.
4.3.3.1 Resistance
In accordance to cabinet weight and door opening, the minimum floor
resistance should be, AC fully configured: 220 kg/m
