Salvation history - traces the pattern of events in human history that reveal Gods saving plan.
the series of events through which the plan of God took shape. it is focused on the
discovery of God's plan as it unfolds through human history.
Salvation - liberation from obstacle or impediment.
Sin constricts human possibilities and God makes them wide and free again.

Salvation comes to imply the rescue of the whole person body and spirit. Ultimately what we need is
to be ransomed from death!so God e"tends the divine rescue all the way to the tomb

the Bible- the only source that contains detailed information of how God saved us form our sins and

The Old Testament describes the founding and preservation of the nation of /srael. God promised to

raised up a family within that nation through whom the blessing would come* the family of 1avid
02salm 34*'-5$. (hen from the family of 1avid was promised one -an who would bring the promised

The New Testament details the coming of that promised -an. 7is name was .esus and 7e fulfilled
the prophecies of the +ld (estament as 7e lived a perfect life died to become the Savior and rose from
the dead. 2rovides for the stage of time of %hrist and the time of the %hurch.
Characteristics of Salvation history

also to him that the story ends.

in human history be recorded so that all people may know his plan of salvation.
