TheInceptionofShame

byNathan&Aline

Whereas guilt is performing an action that violates a law, shame is the inability to perform an
action. Think about this, was it the eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and
thus violating Gods law, that led to Adam and Eve feeling ashamed, or was it the prohibition in
itself that created shame? Anytime something is not allowed, a person has shame around that
thing that they are unable to perform, and if they do do it, they then get to feel guilty for having
doneit.

For example, a child that has been abused by a parent will feel ashamed, not because they did
something wrong, but because they were unable to protect themselves from harm a husband
that is unable to support his familys emotional or material needs will also feel ashamed, not for
what he has done, but for his inability to do. It was therefore the prohibition against eating of the
fruit that created shame, and the eating of the fruit, thus violating the prohibition, that resulted in
guilt.

Guilt and shame are opposing forces, the one who chooses shame doesnt have to feel guilt,
and the one who chooses guilt doesnt have to feel shame...the ashamed party gets to feel
judgmental, which is the counterpart of guilt, and the guilty party gets to feel prideful, which is the
counterpart of shame. Neither are fully creative or aware anymore, as they are just one or the
other ashamed or guilty. Therefore, this is the dualistic choice, to feel ashamed and be
powerless to do something, but receive approval for being good, or to violate the prohibition in

order to feel powerful, but gain the karmic debt and punishment that goes along with it this is

In one fell swoop, at the inception of the original prohibition in the Garden of Eden, humanity lost
their creativity, became less aware, and lost unconditional nurturing from their Source, while they
gained shame and pride, guilt and judgment, and rejection and approval. Before this fall,
everything was allowed and nothing was off limits, but after this original law (original sin was
the result of the first law), sin became a downward spiral of depravity, shame, guilt, and
rejection becoming ever worse and harmful the further down the rabbit hole of fear (fear of
rejection/punishment, fear of doing something wrong, the fear of lack, and the fear of violating the
prohibition)anindividualchosetogo.

The original though shalt not created the possibility of evil, not the original violation of it all evil
proceeds from the original prohibition, without the prohibition, things such as murder, rape,
cheating, and all other crimes against self and others are impossible! An individual must go out
and above the original prohibition, just trying to rebel against all authority and prohibitions leaves
a person doing what Aleister Crowley did his "do what though wilt" decree of total
licentiousness. He was within the domain of the original prohibition while rebelling against it, and
he chose the guilt and prideful side of duality he was not out and above it, the place where law

In order for an individual to be free from the law, it must no longer have power over them,
otherwise it remains real for them, even if from a higher perspective it is not true rebelling
against the law doesnt work. It is each individuals responsibility to revoke the reality of law from
within them, to transcend their current reality, and to align themselves with the truth this is done
through understanding each entangled agreement, attachment, pattern, and limiting belief within,
