IELTS is the International English Language Testing System
which tests English proficiency across the globe. Conduct-
ing 1.4 million tests globally, IELTS is the worlds most
popular English testing system.
IELTS tests are held in over 500 centres with tests up to
four times a month. IELTS respects international diversity
and is fair to anyone who sits the test, regardless of nation-
ality.
The Tamwood IELTS Exam Preparation Program is a 25
hours per week course designed to help you improve your
Speaking, Listening Writing and Reading skills while giving
you all the strategies to increase your test score.
Students prepare to take the IELTS test by following a program that covers all components of the examination.
To help you prepare, Tamwood IELTS Preparation Program provides test samples and Official IELTS Practice Mate-
rials. The test covers the full range of ability from non-user to expert user. You are not limited in how many times
you can sit the test.

Course Components:
1. Reading Skills
Develop reading strategies to cope and understand academic
English, focusing on overall comprehension, critical reading skills and understanding vocabulary from context.
2. Listening Skills
IELTS listening classes concentrate on purpose, meaning, vocabulary and structure. Students will learn a vari-
ety of techniques for comprehension.
3. Oral Skills
Students will gain the ability to speak spontaneously and convey their ideas clearly and coherently. Practice
listening and responding to information orally will be a key factor in this area of preparation.
4. Writing Skills
Academic writing skills, such as developing and writing an essay that explains and supports an opinion on an
issue, will be practiced.
5. Vocabulary and Reference
A fundamental part of any ability test; vocabulary development and reference skills such as using a dictionary
effectively and efficiently will be practiced throughout the course.
6. Study Procedures
Successful revision and efficient time management and study skills will help the student succeed in his/her test.
